You said something that really hit! I’ve been doing inner child work and one thing I realized is my dad never affirmed me, never made my feelings valid as a kid, a shut up and do it mentality. He always spoiled my sisters, never told my youngest sister no but always told me no. I realized it led to a lot of issues as an adult however one that I realized and Elliot made it a point here is that I spent my whole life chasing validation from women, simped at the highest level for women who didn’t deserve it, toxic relationships, all for that validation I never got I went through a process to work through this but man I wish I learned this 10 years ago, would’ve saved me a lot of money and stress

Thanks Elliott! My wife and I are 30. I’ve got an extremely loyal and feminine wife but I have been hung up on this for a while. I’ve been thinking of starting a side gig and hope to make full time with cultural/philosophical analysis and entertainment with video games since it was such a large part of my youth. She is vehemently against anything related to video games and fights tooth and nail any time I try to be honest and tell her about this passion of mine. I’ve taken these as signs to continue to focus on building my family (we have 4 children with a 5th on the way next month) and my bank account. I still hope to bring this to fruition some day.

Dont demand respect people, earn it. Shes not supposed to fear her authentic behaviour around you because you as a man isnt always perfect and you wont always get respect. If you demand respect, in reality you just dont wanna realize that you have weaknesses and you force her to act like she admires you 24/7 which she dont and it is weak to avoid this by forcing the respect.

Sounds like you don't know there is different types of respect. Your talking about appeasing someone's ego which isn't real respect. Maybe fear based respect at most and real loving person doesn't want that kind unless the world's mad and there is no other option (that would be rare).

Another great thing to point out is how we get Father and Mother love from Jesus, our maker. He tells us that all he needs to be proud of us is that we have faith in him and not even Satan is separate from his love, (as he demonstrates during the 40 day fast when he was tempted by offering Satan his hand in redemption) but also he will tell us the brutal truth and never lie to us. I dom't think it is possible to fully overcome this human need in our lives on earth, but we do need love from both. That's why we have Christ, because a man shall leave his parents to become one with his wife but that is a union with God also, and the path of initiation is being initiated with God and receiving his love on both sides
