I think worse than either..... There's a group called Veterans for Peace, that has been getting medications and food into Gaza for decades, specifically taking care of children/orphans due to the ongoing bombings of schools and hospitals... They also help veterans at risk of homelessness due to the US government not honoring it's promises to our veterans. Shutting down the group isn't going to just negatively impact the people in the group, it's going to negatively impact the thousands of veterans they help each year. I know of another Non-profit that exclusively helps Native American pregnant women. Maybe a handful of employees, but they help thousands of women every year. They help support the children, as well. If they are shut down, simply because someone in government wants Native land currently protected by a treaty, that will be generational trauma, and an ever widening circle of people harmed. It's like using the Patriot Act to justify civil forfeiture....but for entire communities and affecting a national audience.

If you encounter an issue that, for whatever reason, cannot be resolved through the government office responsible for assisting you, more than likely there is a nonprofit available to help. So much of our lives are positively impacted by nonprofits.
