Charlie Cook, Founder and Contributor to the Cook Political Report, discusses reports that the Democratic National Convention & the Democratic Party are potentially moving up the Presidential nomination of Joe Biden to as early as July 21. Cook talks about the fallout following President Biden's debate performance and what the Democratic Party is possibly doing to address this, and shares his thoughts on if polling will effect Biden's future as the Democratic Presidential Nominee. He speaks with Kailey Leinz and Joe Mathieu on Bloomberg's "Balance of Power."

My democrat friends changed the channel after 15 minutes of watching the debate. They couldn't take it. If someone in the DNC wants to win, they should have an "intervention" with Joe and Jill and create a viable ticket. The product that they are putting out there is Windows XP in 2024 (and it freezes up).

What this means is that we have to give a lot more attention to VP Harris because is it quite possible that Biden will have more episodes before the election, and if they should win it is unlikely he would serve out the full term. Therefore we have to think of Harris as the President in waiting and give her much more attention.
