I agree, if Dodge advertises the 170 will do 215, then the rev limiter should let it do 215. As an aside, I went in to buy tires for my 91 BMW years ago and one tire dealer wanted to sell me Z rated tires because the car could go faster than 120 mph. I asked him where other than the Mid Ohio racetrack I could do that? I told him he could sell me the standard tires ( half the cost) or I would go down the road to someone else.

In 2000 Sears had a policy to only sell you rated tires also. I had a 1983 280zx, And sears in Tacoma Wa, Refused to sell me any tires that were under a V rating, saying my car is a sports car and has to have 149mph tires or better, They only did in the 130mph at best in reality. Never went to a Sears again.

Sadly Dodge isn't the company it once was. Stellantis is managing it for short-term gain with no apparent concern for quality control or their reputation as they transition to EV. Stellantis isn't even standing behind their dealers who are stuck with inventory they can't sell what would make one think Stellantis cares about the end user? Remember they already got their money when they sold the last of the 2023s to the dealers. Dodge/Chrysler historic fanbase is dead to Stellantis.

Rati Rides would never say something negative about his growing number of personal vehicles he owns. His videos basically repeat what he reads from other sources. He's not an engineer or mechanic. I believe he's a retired School teacher. I have never seen him on any type of race track. From what I've seen. He's using his Demsn 170 as a part time daily drive. At introduction. Dodge Said the Demon 170 quarter mile performance was an ET of 8.91 at 151.17 mph. The top speed was said to be 215. Now we find the 170 is governed at 149 which is below the 151.17 mph obtained during its introduction.

Even before all this the way the dealerships and Dodge handled the last call was piss poor at best. I am disappointed in these so-called brother hood members. Raitis Ride's I didn't see him try to help people find a car at MSRP. Butters did and helped a veteran that got screwed. Raitis Ride's that got the car at probably MSRP or better is telling us that everything we hear is a myth. Seems like Raitis Ride's is trying to help the value of the 170s so he can cash in. Maybe no one will say it. But I did. Seems like Dodge treatment Raitis Ride's better than their customers to help with their image. Why would Raitis Ride's tell the truth because he doesn't want to lose access. When owners of these vehicles take the time to put out honest information. Even when their own value on a vehicle is at risk it shows that they care more about the truth and helping people. A lot of people bought a 170 drinking the Kool aid thinking it was going to triple its value. If you're buying a Dodge just enjoy the car and remember it's not Ferrari Enzo.

I am quite confused honestly, I am no Dodge guy so if anyone can correct me or at least give some insight on what I am about to say Back when the demon (2018 model) was released yes some demons did face issues but mostly, it was alright and it was relevant for quite a while For this new demon, Dodge took out 5-7 engines for tearing purposes in order to reach that HP yet even to this day, many demon 170s engines aren’t doing quite well despite the testing Dodge did, what could be the reason?
