I am a Mopar Guy from Australia and Love all the Mopar Gas stuff. Back in the 70's we had a 265 cubic inch Inline 6cyL with 3 x Weber carburettors fitted., The models were the RT Charger E38 & E49 models from 71 to 72. They were our Muscle cars and at the time had a better QTR mile time than the 5.8L V8 Ford Falcon GT's. So I know you have all been blessed with V8's for a long time. But don't under estimate the New Hurricane. Will be a great bit of gear out of the box.

@@woodys74nova they're definitely going to build a V8 the question is which one they have so many of them they have the 5.7 hemi 62 hemming 64 the Magnum the Magnum 5.3 which is a new engine I just found out about and the hurricane V8 5.6 l which one of those motors really exist I don't know I don't work for Dodge I'm not in their r&d department I just know that I've heard of all of those motors from qualified sources

Price it correctly, work out the kinks with the I6 and bring back a V8 option(s) to not just the Charger but to more cars/trucks/suvs, and YES it could definitely save Dodge.

40s standard. 50 MAYBE 60 for high output. Mustang is in that price range. Too high puts you in C8 territory (if you have GM employee pricing you can get a 1LT C8 for 60).

A true 6cyl muscle car can definitely be legendary. Just look at Buick's 86-87 Grand National and T-type turbo. Plus the 87 GNX. And Buick did this in an era when the small displacement turbo engines were not respected. If Dodge could give the Six Pack the hype like Buick gave the Turbo Regals they could have a winner. They won't.

The new Charger, ironically enough is exactly what the renderers wanted when the 4 door Charger was unveiled and they were angry that the Charger became a Sedan rather than a coupe. If this weren't an EV and they'd released the current 2024 body as ICE, fewer people would be upset.

Those cheaper chargers they put in at parking lots were a good idea at the start, they were free to use and all that. Now those cheap low volt charger charge alot of money and don't get used at all, just a handicap spot for EV cars.

I’m not a fortune teller, but I could imagine blown head gaskets, and broken turbo’s in the new Chargers. Just a wild guess looking at what they are making now. 🤷🏻 have to wait and see. They had BEV’s back in the 1920’s, if EV’s were the wave of the future, we would have had them a long time ago.

@@ohfrfr with the epa roll backs, the ev mandate rebuttal, mopar jesus brought back and that they're about to become thier own entity away from stalantis but still owned by stalantis will be huge moves, the charger being fitted with a v8 now and the rho inline 6 while bringing back some old model names may make a difference, putting the hemi back in the ram is gonna be another huge difference as well as dropping prices by 30% it's all going to make a major difference

Hurricane in the Ram is a beast. JB4 /k&n/mild exhaust is adding about 125hp. HO in a 4400lb car is a 10 sec ride. SO will be low 11s.

Why are you trying to talk up this v6 turbo it's not a v8 it will not sound right. it may be fast but there are a lot of fast cars with 4 cylinder turbos and V6 turbos but still not a muscle car. The torque,sound and performance are not the same. I think sometimes I feel you want a new charger so bad that you're willing to accept the V6 turbo as an alternative. If the charger with the 6 cylinder turbo are 50k to 60k they're still too expensive for the average consumer. They need to be no higher than the mid 40s are they won't sell . Once all the people with money buy them first, that will be it. Until they become used cars.

Your Challenger is gorgeous, especially with the polished wheels. Nothing cheapens a car more than Black, dirty-looking wheels. My neighbor dumped his EVs, an Audi, and a Lightning the day after our last power outage in Eastern Ventura County, California. His losses were monumental, but he told me "It was worth it to get rid of both those albatrosses". He replaced the Audi with a new Grand Cherokee Summit 3.6L, and the Lightning with a new RAM Tungsten, both will take your breath away. I like the new Charger, but it needs some accent body lines, too slab-sided, and plain looking. i would love to buy one of two 2024 Charger Daytona Crown Dodge in Ventura in their inventory, but not at $139,900.00.

Last I checked Brad, my 2019 Scat-Pack Shaker, regular body with manual and Dynamics package weighs 4250 lbs. The Hellcats are 4400 lbs because of the supercharger and intercooler etc.

The last generation (2015-2023) body and design was fine. My only major complaint would be the UC4…..current design looks nice…as with many others are reporting…..the EV power plant……if you want to call it that… I totally agree with OCM about progress should be advancing the infrastructure and technology not putting “the future”….seems like most “upgrades, take a lot of the good current technology. A lot of recent and even not so recent…..”incidents “ with EV’s. Either were or at least should have been known prior to development, production and delivery. Spontaneous combustion, self driving incidents, doors staying locked after accidents and occupants causing further injuries or even desth, sue to occupants being trapped with incident vehicle.

The Doge Charger 6pack needs to be in the $40k range for the standard version and $50k range for the high-performance version. It also needs to be lighter than the 2023 Charger because the v6 engine is smaller. This is a gas car so that expensive battery and expensive chips are not part of the car. Their is no reason for the 6 pack to cost a arm and a leg. Technically the 6 pack will be a downgrade to the 2023 Charger. Also the 6 pack should be more spacious inside compared to the ev version. Give me a $45k Charger. And I will likely buy one this year.

I've been out of the loop, but has it been confirmed that the ICE cars will be AWD? I thought that was just an added benefit that comes with the electric drivetrain. Once you add multiple outlets to the transmission, front diff and half-shafts for the 550 HP gas cars, I'm not sure how this thing will be inexpensive. Be prepared for a high MSRP.

60's for the high output is still too high. 50s, maybe. And 40's for the standard output. Then, I might be interested in one as a daily driver, but not as a muscle car. A big, honking V8 still needs to be offered somewhere.

Apartment complex I’m at just removed almost all of the electric charging stations without notice. My fiancé had gotten an ev on a lease and there are at least 10 evs in the complex going to be fighting over 1 charger. Wat a mess

I will never buy a 6 cylinder Charger or Challenger.A musclecar has t have a V8 for me period and I'm not a V8 or nothing guy,the 6 might be good in a truck if they ever get it reliable. My 1320 isn't a daily,a 2dr Bronco sasquatch is and it has a turbo 4 which is perfect for me in that vehicle.

Where to start? The electric car charging dilemma has been going for a decade. I see many people charging, taking their time and just leaving the cars there taking space. My wife and I leased a fiat 500 many years ago and not until we got our home charger installed, did I really enjoy it. It's a commuter, a city car and it works great. The issue with the charging and why we would never do it without a home charger. There are many hybrids too charging. What a waste of time just sitting there. On the note of an inline 6 and in this case the hurricane engine, believe me they will and maybe have ironed out the issues. Maybe it's just me but I definitely like inline sixes and dodge does have a history of using them. Remember the slant 6? 7 bolt main inline six that was rugged and almost indestructible. What the hurricane needs and I'm dead serious on this is get the exhaust to sound diffrent. Have the alfa romeo engineers tune the exhaust sound. The Italians can make it sound right. Leave the engineering to dodge and I assure you with a better sounding engine it can change some minds.

I think the price on the six pack is going to be ridiculous. Dealers have been on some other shit since covid with markups and added fees. A new 23' Scat Pack Widebody Charger is 65K MSRP alone. There is no way they selling in 60s for Six Pack high output, maybe there's hope for standard, but I don't want that.

Dealers are going to screw it up, because like a dog putting their head out the window, it’s just what they do. Instead of just making a $1.00 and having a customer relationship, they will try to make $1.25 and at best sell a car and have a one time transaction. Or the potential customer will walk. But as far as the car goes, yes looking forward to the 6 cylinder cars.

Ev are only good when you charge at home. Have both . Only charge at home and its a work comuter car. Saves me a bout 300 a month in fuel cost. But when you charge at a station it cost just as much as gas if not more than definitely not worth it.

I don’t think you’re shilling for Dodge, but I think ( even with your disclaimer of being generous ) the standard output should be $40k-$45k max, and the H.O. version no more than $50k max. These manufacturers and dealers, especially CDRJ, no to come back down to earth and remember that very people can afford an $800-$1300 car payment. If they want to move metal, they to meet us where we’re at.
