Easy nerf to the hero power: make it cost 1 mana to be active for the rest of the turn, rather than being a passive that's always active.

I don't think that would actually change much, just one mana might weaken it a little but it would still be way too cheap to make a significant difference. Best I can think of that isn't just remove it for something else is to make it only work with your right most card.

@@SpecterVonBaren there is a ridiculous difference between 0 and 1 mana lol. 1 mana would make you not use it in the early game at all since just playing a random 1 cost minion would be way better than getting 1-3 dmg usually.

@@baldawen That fixes the early games but as you saw, in later turns it's not hard to get up to a swing of 10 attack, that's still pretty easy with the 1 Mana hero power

Cutting out 5 or so points of free damage in the early game is absurdly impactful, especially when that damage can go onto minions, doubly especially when that damage is also activating "When your hero attacks" cards, and triply especially in games where you start out with 20 HP. If demon hunter wants a big late game combo hero power they can have it.

For hair loss, scalp exercises also work. And it's free and has no side effects. Probably especially effective for gamers because otherwise they aren't moving their body or face that much. Look up scalp exercises.

Gift of Legion is broken. You can make it cost 1 with a passive, then spend 1 on Illidari rushes, get 6 minion deaths, then just recast Gift of Legion until you run out of Mana... You can max out someone on turn 4

17:50 Correct turn 2 is desk imp (gain 1 attack), Pen to face (gain 1 attack), kill the 1/2, then use spyglass to get pen back 18:49 Correct turn 3 order would have used desk imp before twin strikes. This turn would have been even better with the low cost spells from correct turn 2. Use of silence on units with high increased attack or to combo with pen is much better than just tossing them out to kill 1 or 2 mana units. Conclusion, wasted resources lead to a loss

Not taking captured flag for the second treasure hurt my soul. Sure emerald goggles is one of if not the best common treasures for outcast DH, but there's no way anything is better than captured flag for an aggressive deck with any amount of minions.

Control priest has been doing pretty good too. Since the nerfs I've done 4 runs with preist, 2 of which went 12 wins. If you get double cast as the second treasure you're pretty much guaranteed. (Tips, I run two silence cards (The 0-cost and the legendary) + a bunch of steal to counter hunter (I personally don't run the 6-drop. I think it's too slow. Against solid demonhunter/hunter/warlock, games can end by turn 5, so it's a no-go for me despite it being on so many people's lists), and a certain 5-cost neutral that hard-counters demon hunter. Warlock is the biggest threat, since in the early game warlock just wins the c'thun race, but if you get to 40life, even that's not the biggest threat (Plus I sometimes run the hand-swap legend. Overall a weak card, but good for stalling/countering combos or c'thun) I think hunter and demonhunter can highrole better than priest, but priest is way more consistent imo. (Also don't run any of the 'copy cards from hand/deck' they're just too slow.)

Duels balance is actually a joke. The changes last patch did nothing to help weaker classes and that’s what’s actually needed. Sure DH, warlock and hunter hero power and treasure is OP but the other ones are also too weak. Paladin has to pay 3 mana for 2 silver hand recruits while warlock has 1 mana draw 1 and summon two 2/1, a 3/3 or give killmox an upgrade...it’s not even a downside

I feel Trump, I'd be more into Duels if each class had a combination which was viable or each class had another class which generally hard countered it. As it stands, you're forced to pick Face Demon Hunter, Discard Warlock, or Deathrattle Hunter. Maybe the meta would have been better off if the robes would have been left in, at least then a bunch of the current meta decks wouldn't be so dominant.

No. Because for some ungodly reason, blizz - in what I can only assume is a COMPLETE AND UTTER HAZE OF MADNESS - decided that Demon Hunter's class strengths should be literally everything: from having the best hero power in the game solely because it casts half as much as every other hero power, to the best aggro, healing, card draw (they have literally all the most efficient card draw cards in the game), midrange and control tools. So go ahead, play an aggro deck. The card draw is so ridiculously fucking efficient and strong that you will never run out of steam, meaning your opponent never gets a single chance to recover and stabilize - a fundamental of TCG/CCGs since their inception with Magic: the Gathering.

Unfortunately, the meta is so lopsided, to nerf demon hunter's power, C'thun the shattered also needs a nerf to bring control down to reduced offensive power from the lack of demon hunter. Likewise, Hunter's deathrattle hero power may also need to go to 3 mana to keep in line with some of the other value engines.

22:00 indeed missed, you were at 18 life, he had 6 (7 after pen flinging) attack. hit face with 3/1, go to 15, pen fling own 3/1, cannibalism buffs the other 2 attackers (so that's 1 more damage than flinging face) face hits for 7 to 8, buffing fiend to 4/2, pirate hits for 5 and fiend for 4, getting 1 damage over lethal (which means he had it even if he pen flung face instead of his own 3/1)

I don't think it even needed to be that complicated. After the second pen flinger, trump was at 17 hp. The demon hunter just needed to attack face with his own character's 7 damage to give his battlefiend +1 attack. Then he would've had 10 damage on the board

If you had played more aggressively in earlier matches instead of turning easy wins into complicated 50/50s or 60/40s, you would have finished the matches much quicker & not even fought this opponent.
