I mean, the entire reason for the more primitive settings in isekai is that it allows for the protagonist to have knowledge that others do not have. Also, due to lack of guns and WMDs, it’s a more simpler world for the protagonist to grasp and for us as the reader or viewer to get onboard. One does not need an economics degree to understand the economy of the world etc. So you can build a lot of stories about the protagonist making large changes at a global level. If we are looking at a futuristic setting, that kind of stories are difficult. So it will have to be stories set in the world with a different approach to the type of stories.

You have "The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy" ("Seiken Gakuin no Makentsukai"), where exactly this happens, but it's still rather coloured by fantasy. Technically "Demon Lord is a Part Timer is a trope" is this too (I consider it sci-fi, since he could afford to rent and feed two people from single paycheck).
