Hope we get a separate weapons kit as I want mine to run with double fists

There is a photo floating around with Kheres and different torso. So seems likely there is an upgrade or second kit coming

Should've by default come with the standard kit.

The whole elongated Gorget part and higher head look throws of the aesthetics to my eyes.

Any chance of a review of the Mark VI kit? Would be keen to hear how you tackle filling the gaps on those shoulder pads

Would be great to see build and prep videos from you, I think people really miss that key stage to painting goo d models, its always skipped over.

Largest downside seems like that seam on the upper part of the legs where the gearing is, instead of it being off to the side against one of the retaining circles, it being in the middle appears awkward to work with and clean up. Generally though yea, seems a better kit than the original plastic Contemptor so that's nice

Looking forward to the contemptor separate release as they've already shown off different weapons and chest plates for it

Yeah, it looks like they either left a sprue out of the starter box to save space, or they'll be doing day 1 upgrade sets.

I would love to see you paint more Blood angels. That last BA video you made was super useful!

I asked on their online chat when the forgeworld weapons will be coming back for order I got the response "keep an eye on warhammer community" so to me that speaks to them realising a plastic upgrade spure

Would the plastic weapons fit the resin body do you know?

Does anyybodfy know if the arms on the new kit are compatible with the FW Legion specific Contemptors?

Yes, they are.

When you do your mk 6 review can you do size comparisons with the upright mk6 models (ie the sergeants) against the upright mk3 and 4? before i buy it i would like to compare the size of the tacticals and not just using the "splits" marines.Would be very appreciated.
@mrspeigel35932 жыл бұрын
Why would you do the split on the head straight down the center of the face? SMH

It is a good kit! I've just started painting it and will have a video up soon, so you can see what it looks like properly!

Hm do you think it would be viable to 3D print some legion details in resin and then use a hair dryer to slightly "bend" them onto that front plate?
@Fireclaws102 жыл бұрын
If you wanted to put legion stuff on, you’d need to sand off bits to make it work. By the time you’ve done all that work, may as well get the legion ones. They aren’t much more.
@petrinafilip962 жыл бұрын
@@Fireclaws10 This gotta be the dumbest take ever. What bits exactly? Plastic one is legion-neutral and has tons of empty space on it. And I'm getting it as part of the box anyway. So basically free vs 42 quid only for body. I dont have a phd in math but even I can compare those prices.
@SparkSovereign2 жыл бұрын
If you're already 3d printing, you can probably find the actual curvature to match it to and just print it already curved. Printed resin doesn't deform the same way cast resin does, I'd be very careful trying to bend it like this.
@Ghogiel3D2 жыл бұрын
I would just print with a curve. Very possible to get pretty close with just using a caliper to get some measurements and eyeballing it for a first test print.
@petrinafilip962 жыл бұрын
@@SparkSovereign Thanks, solid advice. The truth is, I have a guy that does 3d printing for me. And I dont know which data I have to give him so he can edit STLs to match the curvature.

The real positive of the plastic kits is that you no longer have to tolerate the typical Forge World bullshit like mould slippage, warping, bubbles, releasing agent clean-up, no build instructions, higher costs etc. I do like Forge World, but there's a lot of jank you have to tolerate and deal with before you can even start thinking about painting.

They've definitely changed the proportions of it. The legs look shorter, and the torso looks a lot thicker.
@Suraii2 жыл бұрын
@Richard Gray 8:42 you use "sprue glue", which according to you is combining "thin glue" and bits of sprue, which melts the plastic creating a stronger bond (you don't specify what type of glue, but I can guess based on how plastic reacts to it). The "thin glue" is most likely plastic cement, so what you've done, is exactly what that glue is supposed to do, but with a whole lot of extra steps and the exception being that you are now melting plastic in much larger quantities. Hope that you work in a well ventilated area as this process creates fumes that are a mixture of acetone and plastic, which is really bad for your lungs.

The details and many parts are done to somewhat combat recasters, same case for horrible mk6 shoulder. I just dunno about Heresy 2.0. I have literally 0 hype for it.
@Axiom_Dominus2 жыл бұрын
Wow they completely scrubbed all the raised details and scrollwork. Head space looks waaaay worse. 3 steps backwards... lazy AF.
