As a german it was quite funny hearing you try to locate us geographically. ("North of/border to switzerland" isn't that bad of an description though) With the first Bridget Jones movie still being my fave, I have to say though I prefer the third over the second.

Oh, the third movie isn't at all how the books go btw. It's sort of odd. Plus Mark's behaviour is much more... well it's not ok but you get it more if you're used to the English way. I'm from Ireland so we're a bit less stiff but used to it. I love you two! You should try 'Thirteen' it was amazing

I love this film but have always thought that her makeup looks off compared with the 1st film. Her face always looks red like she's had an allergic reaction to something 🙁

Great reaction, you really get this series! Other romantic comedies, maybe Closer, or This Beautiful Fantastic? Love Actually also has the same actors as Bridget Jones, that would be a natural progression

I used to be fascinated by these books. Bridget is a good, kind, caring person who constantly gets in her own way. She's always living in her fantasies, promising more than she can deliver, claiming to know how to do things that she can't do... and then making a fool of herself, over and over and over again. Mark is a good guy but a people-pleaser who can't stand up for himself, and Bridget is the only woman he knows who is fun and not only a social climber... but they're really not suited to one another except as fantasies. Eventually I got sick of both of them.
