Why does this poor family, still go through more and more controversial issues over , what must have been the most horrendous experience? Why can't people just do the right thing?

How tasteless first of all to even think of making this a movie. Nobody wants to see that happen... Let alone the extra grief it puts the family through. What were they thinking

These people are so selfish all they are just thinking about money so disgusting
@mesaplayer9636 Жыл бұрын
The movie was never about what happened it was about what they said during the interrogations. The children were not forced to cry.
@starlight8290 Жыл бұрын
@mesaplayer9636 doesn't matter its not their story to tell it has nothing to do with them, the family never gave them permission to make the movie and they should've respected that, instead they are making money off of thier grief

@@starlight8290that applies in the same way to all the true crime channels on youtube. They make thousands off other peoples stories whether those people like it or not. They never give them a penny. Shouldn't be allowed to monetise it in any way.

@@starlight8290 Who do you think you are? They don't need 'permission' from the family to make the movie. Britain is a free society and people have the right to produce material that offends the feelings of others. The reactions of Denise Fergus are entirely her own prerogative and aren't the problem of the filmmakers.

They care so much for children in the film. Young child actors, toddlers and babies have "baby ranglers" ppl who make babies cry by pretending to be upset. Its not okay.

I think cinema based on real events are fair game as long as it's not someone else's trauma that hasn't been asked for rights. saying that I think this is one one of the best short films ive ever seen.

Ralph hasn't talked about James's death publicly very much so he tends to be thought of less

I thought it told a tale of two devilish boys who committed a horrendous crime. If i didn't know the James bulger story i would have still watched it as i do with many true crime stories. It didn't glorify or make light of the situation, it was transcripts of the true words from their mouths and has been documented before. But now it's acted and directed by someone and she wants to pass it off as cruelty? No sorry Denise but sadly I take that as the same as not being able to watch any true life depicted film/ short film/documentary. And as hard it is for me to say so, it's not been banned because there's nothing wrong done. Maybe she didn't get a cut? Hopefully the film makers donated too the James charity? But she was probably too proud to accept it what she needs to realise is that someone chose to keep James alive for 20 minutes and by the end of it all, we're not feeling sorry for the killers we ALL still mourn James and the loss she must still be feeling to this day. This film has never changed my feelings about what they did. It was just a short drama that summed up a history that anyone born after 2000 and or not from the UK could watch. If it was nominated for an Oscar she should have complained to them.

There are enough documentaries made about this case. No one should be making a film about James and his assailants for profit. I don't suppose Denise gives a monkeys about any royalties or a cut. How cruel of you to even mention that. My biggest gripe over this , is the child actors used. They shouldn't even be considered to do this. I don't know what their parents are thinking?
