Watching from San Antonio TX. I loved how the dog didn't care if you vacuumed around him/her. My dog used to lay in front of the vacuum so I would put the brush on the hose and brush him with the vac. He was a Great Pyrenees with lots of fur. Lol. My kids are grown men now but I remember those cleaning days all to well. Keep up the great work!

Organized but more colorful plastics than I would have chosen to decorate with on my own. Now that my youngest is 18, I miss all that colorful plastic. When you spoke about making the toys accessible but keeping the space put together, it makes a lot of sense because when it does get used/messy everything has a place when it’s cleaned up. Even if it’s messy 90% of the time, when that 10% comes along and you want to tidy up/make the room presentable you can and things will have a home. I’m currently helping my sister and brother in law, who have a 7 month old, and not an organised bone between them haha (good thing they have an architect sister who thrives on organisation) and this is a good point that I am working with them on. ‘Who cares how messy your place is, as long as when you want to tidy it up that things have a home and it’s not a super stressful throw things in a room and deal with it later kind of moment’ Also, I just love those built in shelves, they are beautiful ☺️☺️

Brava! Paring down and giving everything a home is the way to go! Our two year-old can't talk, but he can put things away because everything in our house has a place. Young children have so much stuff--their toys and play involves many pieces and parts. You have to find a system that works for you--I also happen to love labeled clear bins so we can see what's inside--but putting my hands on their stuff on a regular basis has helped me cut down on toy consumption! (Thank goodness most of my boys are older and don't even play with toys! Now, our system has shifted to large flat bins of Lego, and baskets to organize chargers, ear buds, bike helmets, etc.

I needed this motivation so bad. I need to declutter and organize my downstairs closets so bad. I moved last year and kept all my holiday decor at my moms, and now that I’m in here, I have nowhere to put it so it’s been sitting in boxes in my hallway since I took everything down a few weeks ago, it’s driving me mad but I couldn’t bring myself to start cleaning out these closets, I was dreading it till this video motivated me!
