That’s what made his performances legendary though, he added character to them and was also a bit of a comedian on stage as well as a singer, he had fun and connected with his audience. Anyone could listen to Elvis on record or the radio if they just wanted to hear him sing, you went to an Elvis concert for him, you wanted the experience and everything he had to offer, he was the cake and the music was just the cherry on top.

Omg he lived and breathed the role they say. When I first saw the actor they chose I rolled my eyes. Seemed too young, too pretty. Then I watched the film and he EMBODIED Elvis. It was honestly stunning. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. I’ve watched many actors play Elvis, I’ve watched much footage/interviews of Elvis. Austin became Elvis completely. I hope so much he gets the Oscar. I got to the point I forgot he was an actor and not who he was portraying.

I tried to get one of those kisses when I first saw him in 1970, but unfortunately too young and unable to work my way in past the swarm of women stage side calling out his name incessantly …Elvis, Elvis, Elvis…..oh well, got closer in 1976, but again the girl in front of me got the attention. It sure was fun trying though…..and man was electrifying!!! Voice like no other. Adore him to this day and always will. Saw the movie and the first scene in Vegas was like reliving the experience…that’s how good Austin is!!! A testament to his Oscar worthy performance. If you haven’t seen the movie, Go! Must be seen in a theatre to get the whole experience.

The Elvis Movie bought me here. I was blown away by Austin’s performance, but I was astonished by real Elvis too! He was gentle, elegant, and sexy. Before watching the movie, I hadn’t known him at all. But now I’m already curious about him and his songs. I listen to his songs a lot from now on!

C'est vrai que ça choquait beaucoup de monde. Je pense que c'est surtout une question d'éducation. Elvis avait une mère, adorable au demeurant, mais très stricte. Et pour elle s'adresser à quelqu'un c'était toujours : "bonjour Monsieur.... Bien sûr Madame... Etc..." Et puis, il savait ce qu'il lui devait : le Colonel a toujours calculé pour lui, les meilleurs contrats. Par exemple pour ses films : tout le monde reconnaît que ce n'était pas des chefs-d'oeuvre et pourtant Elvis était mieux payé que beaucoup d'acteurs qui se trouvaient nommés aux oscars ! Il a fait beaucoup de jaloux avec ça. Elvis aurait pu être un bon comédien. Mais toutes les fois qu'il a fait des rôles .... Pas dramatiques (quoique, comme dans Flaming Star) ça n'a pas plus aux fans qui voulaient des films légers, drôles, avec des notes de bonnes moeurs qui plaisaient aux américains dans années 60.C Omme vous dites, je pense qu'il serait venu en France, il aurait eu l'opportunité de tourner de meilleurs films et il ne se serait pas tué la santé avec ces tournées incessantes : 1081 shows !!! entre 69 (le premier à Las Vegas et le dernier en 1977 !) 2 fois et 3 fois sur scène certains soirs !!! 1 seul mois de congé par ans !!! AUcun chanteur n'accepterait ça maintenant... Pardon, je suis insatiable quand il s'agit d'Elvis ! 😅😅Merci pour votre commentaire et .... A la prochaine ? A beautiful face and a perfect man are quite different things. Lucky is the woman who finds a man that she loves and that loves her back and they can Kiss and touch and make love to each other. His own beautiful wife was miserable, and these foolish girls, especially those that had sex with him, were only a faceless number to help quench his thirst that couldn’t be quenched. Very likely he was a narcissist and they fed his ego.

No one has been impactful as he was, simply put. Also, Priscilla considers herself lucky to have been in the position that she was.
