Would highly recommend the Phillips brand T20 red led globes. They are excellent and have been very reliable. $20 for left and right. Bought them on eBay with fast 3 day shipping. Also the led globes you used in your reverse bulbs are the same that’s I use in my indicators. Although they are amber obviously. They’ve worked fine. Although you need a resistor to prevent them from hyper flashing. Mine have been going strong for a year now. Also bought them on eBay. Would recommend updating them, it makes your car look more modern.

Fantastic coverage, I have just purchased shogun 3rd generation 2007 model must be last of them, Anyhow following my partner home and I noticed none of the rear lights was working, however the the one in the bumper were, these were tail / stop and indicate all in the bumper. The light your working on only have the reverse and fog lamps, travelling behind it looks hideous, I'm gonna get me a new set of lights wire them as yours, cheers for posting

Many thanks for uploading this video & making this channel. Just bought my first Pajero & I`m glad straight away I found your channel. I am having issue with both back lights (ones on either side of back door). Well, first the good bits.... Reverse light works fine in both. When I press parking light button on side of steering wheel on dashboard, one of the back red light turns on (right one)....... Now the Bad bits...But when I turn the head lights on, front head light work fine but both rear red lights donot work, neither when head light is on, nor with the brakes (both sides). Both Rear indicators donot work either. When I press the button, Cruise Control light turns on but car does not go into cruise control. Do you think it's brake light switch issue? Brake light on top of back door works fine & brake lights in rear bumper works fine too. in your opinion where is the actual problem? As there are no workshops open, where should I start? Please do reply, thanks

bloody hell, sounds like you're in for some fun. these sound like different issues to me. cruise vs lights do the easy checks first, like making sure the globes are all good. don't want to go chasing the hard stuff only to find you're globes are buggered. Check the fuses too. Doesn't sound like the problem since some are working, but see above :) Normally when lights come on or off when off when others are turned on, it usually points to a grounding issue somewhere. Like when you see a trailer with an indicator on and the break lights all start to flash. I don't recall off the top of my head if the indicators and the park lights etc have a separate ground at the back, but I'd start by pulling the back lights out and seeing if you can track the ground(black) wire and see if there are any issues there. do you have a multi meter or test light ? I'm not sure which button you are referring to beside the steering wheel for the park lights. My lights are on the stalk on wheel not a button. you might have a different model to me though. I do have a button on the right side but that is for the fog lights. on the back it's the middle one on the spare wheel mount. do you have a trailer plug fitted for towing ? If you do, it could be where your issue is coming from. check the connections on that and see if there is anything making contact with the other wires etc. its all part of the same system even if you're don't have anything connected or are towing at the time. re the cruise control, when you turn the cruise on, it doesn't engage until you hit the set button while you are driving. so try that. also it wont work under about 40km/h or there abouts. good luck mate, hope it's a simple fix

Never realized you have replied to my message & during this time I met several auto electricians & mechanics, we did quite few modification & nothing helped in terms of cruise control. Back lights on both doors did not have Break lights & Right left signals inside them, no wiring loom either by manufacturer, also mentioned in the booklet that Lights on doors only have reverse & fog light (drivers side). In booklet it did not have cruise control section,instead they call it "Auto Speed"..... Finally after reading your message I realized I was only pressing cruise button without Set :( :( :( & now IT WORKS , thank you so much. I have another question regarding fuel economy: My car's engine is really solid, all service done on time, no black smoke, starts really quick. But its fuel economy mpg is really bad. On cruise control at 70 miles speed for 60 miles it gave me 18mpg only, on 50 miles speed for 60 miles it gave me about 35mpg. Is it normal for shogun? Can it be improved? In your opinion whats the best speed to drive on motorways for best fuel efficiency in terms of cost?

With regards to the tail light globe you need a LED bulb that has 2 inputs- one for Brake lights and one for Park lights. I have this installed in mine LED and works well and it was an eBay job.

Loved the video. Is it possible to change the cover of the rear back lights when broken instead of replacing the whole light? Hey jam, mate, I took mine to a shop and got it done. It's a sealed unit, so unless you have the right equipment to pull the old fluid out and feed new fluid at the same time, it would be a hard job. I know a few guys have done it but want one I wanted to take on. Checkout the pajero forum here in aus. There's been plenty of posts about it. I think there was also a transmission change between the ns and nt, so you may still be able to do yours, I'm not sure. My research was for the nt

Can't say I have mate, but there's plenty on the tube. I have successfully used toothpaste in the past (on other lights) make sure you get the white (abrasive)stuff. not a gel one. Or there are kits online you can buy . Either way, which ever you do, make sure you look at recoating the uv clear coat, otherwise they'll fog up again pretty quick

Hey Chris, I sure am running a dual battery. I'd really like to have another battery up front under the bonnet, like a small AGM to help with winching duties, but as you know pajeros don't get stuck :) so the winch doesn't get much use. I'm using a 125a/h AGM deep cycle, which is charged from the projecta IDC 25 , It takes a feed from the alternator and from the 2 x 120w solar panels on the roof. The battery is in the 3rd root seat well and powers, the fridge, my HF radio, a switch panel over the back with some USB sockets which also runs the LED lights on the roof and an anderson plug on the rear bumper which I use for running the air compressor. I also connect up a small inverter some times to charge up chainsaw batteries and that sort of stuff. U've got some older videos that cover off the install of most of this stuff, but not all of it. I'll get around to it some day. Always appreciate getting a comment from you. cheers Brett

I believe it should be but the ones I got didn't work well. I did have a supplier get in touch with me to advise they had some that worked in that slot but I haven't heard from them for some time.

Not yet. I believe it's just push studs though. Remove the clip in panels look for any screws. If you cant see any apply some force to one of the edges and id expect it to come away.

I had some issues when I originally fitted the LED globe. It turned out the little metal contact inside the fitting had just bent . Once I bent it back into place, it all worked again for me

My new rear led lights to swap out those water filled ones to use as upgraded reverse lights turned up this week :) . I've been puting it off because to get to the wiring I need to drop the rear bash plate, which is attached to the tow bar. pain in the back side job. but I also want to redo the anderson plug and fit some rock lights which will also run up there. So its coming. I just wanted to line all the jobs up and once and knock them all off. :)
