My first Challenger was a 71 fy1 yellow convertible, 340, 4 speed w/ the pistol grip. Bought it in 76 for $400.00. 1980 found a 1971 R/T Charger, 440, bulge hood, no air grabber though, beige, automatic, on a corner lot for 2000. Those days are so long gone. My 70 r/t is the 440 six pack automatic,727. Vitamin C Orange. No need to tell you but I paid for that one. Your one lucky man, that green S.S. is amazing and I can at least live through you now. I love old school but the new ones are impressive and an entirely different animal. Daily driver, 2005 R/T Magnum. Mopar or no car. Love your knowledge and channel Dennis, first class all the way.

This is my dream car. I feel like crying because it was never sold here in South Africa. Sadly it will remain a dream. It's true when they say America is living the dream when it comes to these raw muscle cars. Mopar is all true muscle. I was happy to hear their announcement on not moving away from the V8 engine. Although it will be only 5 litre engines with hybrid power it still have the heart and soul of America in it. Electrical cars is coo but it will never have that soul that represents America.

It's like seeing candy in a store as a kid but you can not do anything about it because of the diabetes issue. Been through that also so I guess it's one of that "have a look and move on" situations

I trained on these, when the first Challenger was being put into production. Working for Chrysler for almost 3 decades, I was certified on the Prowlers, Vipers, SRT/10 trucks, SRT/4 Neons, Shelbys, even the Turbo Spirits. I saw the Hellcat and Demon, in pre production, at the training facility in my town. They were making the rounds, showing them off to the techs before the public had the chance to see them.

Love the F8, that'll be a great investment. $110k for the black one, not a bad investment. I still say the Demon is the more rare and desirable car as they're serialized and were a one yr only production. From what I've heard the Superstocks can still be ordered even though production is slow / halted and they will be available to order for the next few yrs. Actual production numbers may never reach 3300, but time will tell.

Hey Dennis, It must be awesome to own all those rare cars. What I don't understand is why you don't hang on to those 2 cars. I figure they'll go up even higher in a few years. Your a young guy and will be around for a long time yet. If I would have known when I was younger and kept a few of my cars, I'd have a lot of money now. I.had 67rs 350 4 speed camaro, 68ss 396 4 speed, 70 roadrunner 383, 70 Cuda 383, 72 cuda 440, 71 challenger 383, 70 cutlass w30, just to mention a few. This is a cool and interesting episode. I don’t usually get excited about Challengers, but you hooked me on these. Right off the bat, that yellow stripe on the front spoiler edge makes those cars pop. After the tour, I understand the significance. I absolutely love the green car. Awesome car! Personally I went new GT500, but I did really consider the vanilla Redeye Widebody version of this. I don't go to the dragstrip on a regular basis, so that would be a better choice for me personally unless I bought it to just collect it. (I daily drive my GT500.) I think the Super Stock will likely appreciate a great deal in value once our Leftist overlords force us all to switch to EVs against our will.

You can't really compare an EV with any gas powered car. Its 2 completely different technologies. Most jet planes are going to outperform the best prop driven plane.

I did though! I say this all because this car has one job- go fast in a straight line as possible. It’s being made a fool of by 4 door passenger cars that cost the same or less. These will be collectible for sure but the jig’s up. Dodge knows this too.
