I concur. I used to lead the security team for a mini-mega on the east coast. We had about 5 on duty at a time in a church with a sanctuary capacity of 800. I’m now part of a security team in a Reformed Baptist church that holds 250 and we have the same number of team members on duty. No joke, we’re the safest 250 in America.

I seriously wonder why the reformed bap churches I've tried going to are so, SO serious, non social and stiffly formal. "Cold" is the word I can't shake. I always end up at a Presbyterian, though they're only slightly better. WHAT is it about that! Honestly, it's hard not to cry sometimes when I think about it.

From 1977 (?) to 1990, I attended four churches (Nazarene, AG, amd briefly at a Bapti-costal church). As a janitor since 1987, I have "attended" several churches. For many years now, I have been a multi-denominational custodian, serving the Presbyterians, Methodists, and the Lutherans. I get the jokes. 😂

I just discovered your channel & I like what I see so far. I love your denomination videos. I grew up going to baptist churches. I had no idea there was more than one baptist denomination until I was older. I actually didn't know what type of baptist I was.I could definitely identify with the southern baptist guy though. 👏🤣 I want to see an Orthodox vs. Roman Catholic Family Feud. (“Roman” because there are Eastern Catholics, essentially same as Orthodox.) Roman Catholic ideas: an ultra-Scholastic Thomist, a Sedevacantist, a Fr James Martin type, a Charismatic Catholic, & a guitar-Mass Boomer. Orthodox ideas: a hesychastic monk, a hyperdox convert, a member of that Russian gang, & a married priest & his wife with their communing baby. Basically, what the Western Church misunderstands & would be triggered by. 😄

To be honest, Psalm singing is more of a CREC thing (it was actually one of the things promoted by the Federal Vision, along with weekly communion and higher forms of liturgy, less common at the time; FV wasn't just about paedocommunion and questionable views on faith alone, and actually championed many things widely practiced in broader reformed circles today).
