Boy she sure makes it look so easy. I've worked in a dental lab for a couple years scanning. Next week I'm starting training in the model room 😬😉 trying to get a lil jump on things.

I will soon have a video out on when and how to use scanning, milling, conventional impressions, waxing and pressing. It will all make sense after you watch that video. What is that staylight thing? Can't find anything about it
@drewv47823 жыл бұрын
Stalight model hardening. Creates harder models with more flexural strength to resist breaking, chipping and abrasion.
@centerforard3 жыл бұрын
Correct. Pouring models correctly is really, really important. You can ruin a nice restorative case with poorly poured models.

You're videos are so inspiring. 2 questions please: 1) what temp water? just tap water or she takes temp of water? 2) does she do 1 model pour at a time or can pout multiple without having stone set? Thank you so much
@centerforard Жыл бұрын
Room temperature water, around 70 degrees F. You can pour both models from the same mix if you use a normal mix stone. Take your practice to the Top Tier. I’ve been pouring models for 10 years and still struggle with air bubbles. Would love to work at an office with a Whipmix. Since I don’t… What are the top suggestions for avoiding air bubbles?
@centerforard2 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, you must have something like a whip mix or you will get air bubbles. Purchasing a whipmix is just a part of being in a good dental practice.
@gk.85412 жыл бұрын
This actually makes me feel a lot better to know that some air bubbles are inevitable without a whip mix.. All these years I’ve been frustrated and blaming my technique. Thank you!

How does she make the base for the models?
@drmmohamedhussain68283 жыл бұрын
At first we followed instructions in manual, college studies.. now here.. after pouring .. we make remaining plaster in bowl as thick consistency.. and form it as base.. and placing impression upside down for drying and for flat bottom.. no more measurments, no more base formers..

Can they make a video regarding the best music to play in a dental office? Maybe some of Jeremy Renner's hits?
@centerforard3 жыл бұрын
Ha, ha. That is a matter of personal preference. I don't like music with singing in the office because I feel it makes it harder to have a conversation. I prefer music that is just instrumental of some kind with no singing. Probably not "hard" music, but also not "elevator" music. Take your practice to the Top Tier. Big mistake. The expansion of the poured model can be significantly affected by the water/powder ratio, which will make your restorations not fit.
