I've had invisalign for 2 months, the only thing bad about them is constantly taking them out when you eat then you have to floss and brush each time, so if you eat 5 times a day, you'll be flossing and brushing 5 times a day but you'll get use to it.

According to my dentist that’s not the case. Just got mine in a few days ago and they told me I could just brush as often as I did before, twice a day suffices.

@@ParzivalTheThird Just really depends what you eat, now if you eat sticky foods or for example candy or cookies then you definitely have to brush before you put your aligners back in but with other foods you could just floss and rinse your mouth out and it should be fine.

Here we use braces and then they give us invisalign looking stuff to use at night to keep them from moving

Just go with Invisalign. If possible. U will is the long run save money. From buying a water oil or other different flossers. Plus the toothbrush replacement cost if u use an electric toothbrush. And ortho visits. If u break a bracket, or a wire, etc u need to go back and some orthodontist charge. Comfort is also a big thing. Invisalign is more comfy and convenient. Plus canker sores are a big issue with braces and actual tooth pain too.

Invisalign 4 ever! Day 1 hurts really bad but after 5 days the pain goes away. Most of the time you don't feel anything or your tooth may be a *little* sore for a day or two. Personally Invisalign moves my teeth faster than braces and is more comfortable than having wires in your mouth. It's also easier to brush my teeth since I can take them out and brush all of my teeth without worrying about having to brush around wires that block the teeth.

I had to go with braces because of how bad my teeth were and because I needed rubber bands. If you have the money, then definitely go with braces, because they allow more opportunities to make your teeth as straight as possible. If you don’t have the money, Invisalign is the next best thing. Also, get a waterpik. Those things are life savers.

I actualy had braces about a year ago for close to 3 years and i actualy just got invisiline today!! i can definitely say if you are a more lazier person then definitely get braces, either way having braces was so fun and i loved it now looking back at it even though i was in a rush to get them off i love them! but after i got them off my retainer had broke. so wearing your retainer after is so important so make sure you do that!! if you have any questions go ahead and ask. and i can definitely say price wise invisiline will be much more expensive depending on how crooked your teeth are. i had braces for 4 years in high school so like between 18 to 14 years ago. my top row of teeth is still perfect to this day, i love my top row of teeth. My bottom row had a little metal bar stay on them but that bar eroded over time, over the course of several years, and i never knew to get it touched up or replaced, so my bottom row of teeth is crooked again. they arent terrible but honestly its such a contrast between my top and bottom row. i would get braces on just my bottom row as i was very happy with how straight my teeth were when i got my braces off, but im about to turn 33 years old and i really dont want a metal bar on my bottom row of teeth. so, i'm going to talk to my dentist tomorrow about any orthodontist recommendations and then pickup some invisalign as soon as possible. i just hope invisalign actually corrects my teeth as well as braces did.

Great question, there are pros and cons to both. It really depends on the complexity of teeth, comfort, time frame and other factors that may result in either or. Generally after treatment is completed a retainer would be worn overnight every night to prevent your teeth from moving. It's all a decision on what the patient wants in terms of options and comfort, and how dedicated they are to keeping their teeth straight.

Invisalign and Damon braces are two system of braces that can avoid need of extraction. Also, depending on how old you are, you can also go for palate expansion (MARPE or Quad Helix).

Hello! I’ve just started my first day of Invisalign and it takes usually a year or longer, maybe even 2 years, to get the full results. You get a new tray/model of your teeth every week that get straighter and straighter throughout every week. It’ll hurt the first couple days for each new mold, but that’s completely normal. It’ll be worth it! I would definitely recommend it, but it takes time and effort to constantly wear them 20-22 hours a day. Hope this helped! :)

Hi, i got braces. I’ve started them about a week ago. The first day or 2 they hurt. And they will hurt a bit every once and a while. It does take a long time to clean maybe 5 min per brush which u are supposed to do 3-4 times a day. They also cost more money in flossers. U can’t eat all ur favorite foods, especially in the first few days. If ur worried about remembering to put Invisalign in. Remember that u may have to remember anyways, to put ur rubber band in. But if u like to go to an orthodontist a lot then get braces u will have to go if u break a bracket, a wire, or any other part of the metal box in your mouth, and you will break them a lot. Especially in ur first week! U will have to remember what foods u can and can’t eat, and to shove ur hand inside of your mouth to take a rubber band out before u eat. Plus u have to carry around flossers at school to clean ur teeth after lunch or a snack. Anyways I hope this helped.

Ive had the Invisaligns for about 4 moths now &’ they are better than braces. Idk about the guy that commented above ^^ but my dentist actually said it’s a faster option maybe it depends on the individual but you barely even know they’re there. My sister had braces &’ I notice when they tightened it up she would be in a lot of pain but with the Invisalign you barley feel anything. The wire in the braces would sometimes come out &’ as a result she would need to go to the dentist more often. I would say the only annoying thing about the Invisaligns would be having to remove them every time you’re eating or drinking anything other than water. But 10/10 would definitely recommend getting Invisaligns(:

@@unnaipoloruvan98 I would suggest consulting as many orthodontists as you can and see if they offer treatment without extraction. Invisalign and braces both give the same end results. It is extraction of teeth that can cause problems.

No invisalign straightens your teeth. Retainers are for after treatment to help them stay straight. if you don't wear them your teeth could go back crooked.

Tufik fërrnella I think both works great. Invisalign is designed for teeth that is for teeth that don’t have much crook. For braces is for when you have very crooked teeth. Some people go with Invisalign but you can also get braces behind your teeth. In my opinion, I think braces are cute .

I’m glad they caught that early on though!! 🙏🏻 I was sooo tempted to do braces for the convenience, but since I’m mid 40s, I decided on Invisalign since it’s gentler on the roots and so I can take the trays out, floss and WaterPik!
