Denzel's character is such a good guy cause he only kills and hurts morally terrible people, but he's kind of insane. That thing with the watch and watching people slowly die, and then you cut to him high-fiving a school girl passing by with a smile.
@Slayer398 Жыл бұрын
I don't know about insane really, the watch part was clearly part of his training and as for watching the Russian mob leader guy die, what was he supposed to do? Give him first aid or just walk out and leave him to die and was that somehow "better"? As for the part with the girl would you rather he shot her or just did something like morose and dark like brooding instead?
@mightymanofvalour8691 Жыл бұрын
@@Slayer398I understand his point. Throughout the entire trilogy there is this juxtaposition concerning McCall. Two opposing truths coexisting - the enjoyment he derives from it all (clearly seen in the third, and stated in the second), and yet this super kind and altruistic attitude towards others who are evilly treated and oppressed.
@Slayer398 Жыл бұрын
@@mightymanofvalour8691 I can definitely agree McCall has serious issues, as we can see more than a few OC behaviours in the first 2 movies and a really questionable sense of morality when it comes to those he has been sent to or (apparently decided) to kill. As to his "enjoyment to killing" I will have to take your word on it as I have not seen the 3rd (was there a 3rd movie, when did it come out?). If anything it seems like his morality is like a switch in the first 2 movies when he's killing and his actual personality is the kind and altruistic one that was sublimated once he becomes the killer he was turned into by the government. But that's just how i read the character. Your mileage may vary.

I have seen only one man in my life be so calm in the execution of a fight. This man was what nobody expected his size his body weight. We all thought that the guy was going to get his ass kicked. But what happened next surprised about 20 of us watching. The skill and sheer calmness of this guy was so on point it literally scares the shit out of me to this day. 3 dudes at a club walked into this guy as he was walking out with his lady. I assume it was his lady, one guy grabs the guy by the arm. The little guy just stares at his hand on his arm. He went normal to Tasmanian devil in seconds. I will never forget the look on those dudes faces as he literally wipes the floor with all 3 of them. The bouncer at the door when he looked at who was fighting stood frozen in his own skin as if he saw a Fkn ghost. Me and my friends till this day still talk about him. The way he moved as if he knew every move they were about to make. Never forget this man’s face as he smiled at me and just walked away like nothing ever happened. Shaved head mustache beard about 5/10 little Mexican dude a bit overweight for his size. I couldn’t believe it, I thought in that one instance never judge a book by its cover. Weeks later I was begging to ask that bouncer who he was when he saw him. He didn’t want to talk at first but handed him $200 cash. I had to know, he went to school with this guy in high school and he said he was bullied in high school and took all the beatings without shedding a tear. He said I saw him in the halls of Coronado high school in San Diego. He said you ok!? To James was his name the one that got bullied. He said I will get older and bigger and beat the living shit out of the bullies that once was in school. He served in the military with him also and was absolutely fearless. Like nothing mattered anymore, like he was dead inside. After he served with him in the military, he and a few buddies were told a story about him. What he told me next terrified the living shit out of me. This is the guy nobody would ever fk with ever again. What ever your worst fear would ever be he would make sure that fear was him instead. I don’t want to repeat what he told me.

@@davefarlow That's because McCall is old and has a heart. He won't kill women or children. He could have easily killed the boy when he got out of the house in the last movie, but didn't for a reason. To honor his late wife. Think of it like this. John Wick is The Punisher. Robert McCall is Batman; the old one who killed Superman. McCall with a few seconds of prep time will trounce Wick. Wick has determination and McCall has experience. Both have shown they are knowledgeable and deadly, but McCall is ruthlessly efficient, making the least number of moves to accomplish checkmate. Wick wastes a lot of energy making extraneous movements. Wick's best chance is to snipe McCall from a distance. McCall just needs to observe Wick to determine the best sequence of moves to kill him. So a face to face confrontation is the most dangerous situation for John Wick to be in against McCall. But, McCall is also an expert sniper so it works both ways.

@@ravendon Well you are forgetting one thing. The writers. Whoever writes the script would decide who wins, and Denzel ( Robert mcall) and Keanu ( John Wick) both have huge fanbases so if a crossover movie came to be it wouldn't be one sided. I'd say they are both equal. It just depends on what the script is.

Denzel is so great that he "says" alot when he's silent. The beginning of the clip is great...

Who is here in 2025 ? I can Honestly say that I have NEVER SEEN a Bad movie or show. I am Going back as far as ST Elsewhere in the 80’s in Which Denzel was starting to be a Recognize Quality Actor.

Wish to God there were people that could literally go out like this in real life and save our children no red tape involved
