He tries to justify it by saying his brother Laurence is "6 foot 9 in cowboy boots", and the other fella is a military vet and "three time unlimited fighter champion" who provided security and were well worth the investment to bring along. Later in the video he explains a $400 bill at a Dallas steakhouse as a business meeting between the three to plan the trip.

This guy reminds me a lot of a neighbor I had as a kid. My neighbor was 450lbs and at first had the most interesting stories about his life. He claimed to be a private detective, and he knew people in all branches of government, including the NSA and CIA.
