Wonderful. Great episode!

I loved this episode. I've been in the health food/supplement industry for 12 years, and everything she mentioned was either also my experience or was an idea or topic that has been swimming around in my head for years. Thank you for having her on ❤

Thank you~! We need to speak up- the 'woke' attitude has hurt our field so much. :/ Keep being a good example~!

goooo Jenn!! Fractal humans are a awesome analogy. I often wonder about those universes inside of us....and the universes inside of even that. :)

Holistic health is an interesting topic as it raises the discussion between placebo and the power of the mind via the embracing of a positive lifestyle changes.

This should be a weekly segment. Natural health is such a fascinating subject and one I always feel is verboten to talk about. It baffles me when doctors look at me funny if I mention taking a supplement or herbal pill for something. I would’ve assumed someone who’d studied biology and healing would know these things can help and have far less side effects than the chemicals they’re trying to prescribe but they seem clueless.

It is amazing that they were able to convince us of so many false ideas on nutrition. The weird part is that we separated actual biological processes that we learned about from our own biology. I do not know how that was accomplished.

14:20 Forget the 90’s… I only in the last couple years have started learning that things like butter and egg yolks are good for you. I thought it was always just common knowledge for as long as I can remember to avoid those if you could and then come to find out they’re actually essential fat that your body needs! 🙈

That's what I meant, though- why was it only recently you heard that when this was known by the late '90's? There's been a regression of knowledge. Physical stores with TRAINED staff to work with customers are very important, for that reason- to educate. And in the last few decades, people have decided to bypass such stores and just go on-line, getting who-knows-what quality or if it matches their needs. But I'm sorry this knowledge took so long to find you- that's partly the fault of a lot of stores and staff utterly failing in their jobs to represent the health field, their principles. They are supposed to properly vet products and work with customers, and too many haven't the ethical grounding to.

I’m all about getting out in nature and have always loved it, but a lot of the nature around me is not even in balance anymore because the invasive species, mostly plants and bugs, have taken over so much and is ruining a lot of the checks and balances that a native ecosystem possesses. It often becomes another source of stress for me 😫

How would an undiagnosed chronic candida infection in the small bowell left undiagnosed for years affect neurotransmitters?

The advice given at the end of this stream is some of the best I've ever heard in my life, and I try to follow it. You did forget two things however: don't eat the yellow snow, and don't vote for joe biden.

So is flax seed/oil ok or not?
@jenniferatkins5286 ай бұрын
Yes~! Get a good quality, one just doesn't cook with it. Barlean's is one I like. To add: I do prefer some of the omega-3 sources that don't have to be refined, or converted from ALA to DHA/EPA. Such as sardines, wild salmon, clean shellfish, eggs and butter and fatty meats from animals eating their proper diets outside. Chia is good but has to be converted as with flax.

What about hiatal hernia? Without meds I die of reflux

Do you know if there's a postural issue contributing? The upper sphincter at the top of the stomach is a sort of flap, and is triggered to close with the presence of stomach acid. 'time to digest!' But sometimes if there's chest contraction, say, there can be some contortion of the 'flap' and it won't seal properly. This is aside from the hernia issue. If the stomach isn't sealing properly, that's a challenge, because while the esophagus isn't meant to handle acids, proper absorption requires it. Can you email/PM to discuss?
