From the start of the 2017/18 season Anne-Fleur Werner joined the Ensemble of the Salzburg State Theatre, singing a wide repertoire : Countess Almaviva, Fiordiligi, Antonia ,the Daughter in Hindemith`s „Cardillac“, Gräfin Zedlau, Rezia, Elsa (Cover), Agathe.
Season 2020/21 will feature role debuts such as the title role in Gounod‘s „Margarethe“, the stepmother in Alma Deutscher’s „Cinderella“ and Sonja (Der Zarewitsch) at the Lehar Summer Festival.
The young German soprano participated in the 2017 Salzburg Festival Young Singers Project and appeared as a soloist during the Young Conductors Award Concert Weekend. Anne-Fleur Werner had the eminent distinction of receiving a scholarship from the Young Musicians’ Foundation Bayreuth and was a finalist in the prestigious Competizione dell’Opera at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow 2016, subsequently performing with the Bruckner Orchestra at the Bruckner Concert Hall in Linz.
Werner has worked with conductors such as Ido Arad, Massimo Zanetti, Adrian Kelly, Fabio Mastrangelo, Kerem Hassan, Josef Wallnig, Manfred Jung, Oliver von Dohnányi and famous Lied Pianists Malcolm Martineau and Helmut Deutsch.
Anne-Fleur Werner started singing training at the age of eleven with Prof. Christel Borchers in Munich. She later studied with Horiana Branisteanu and Ingrid Kremling-Domanski at the Mozarteum Salzburg and earned her Master’s degree with honours in Helmut Deutsch’s Lied Class.
Ms. Werner has worked with Montserrat Caballé, Helen Donath, Rudolf Piernay and Gudrun Ayasse. While still a student at the Mozarteum in Salzburg she made her debut as Blonde in Mozart`s „Abduction from the seraglio“ and as Meleagro in Gluck’s rare opera „La corona“ at the Mozart Opera Studio and sang Oscar in Verdi`s „Un ballo in maschera“ at the Ernst Deutsch Theater in Hamburg.
