Comment j'étais heureuse qu'enfin, vous allez faire une réaction de cette chanson. Cette joie a vite fait place à un sentiment que je redoutais et qui, indubitablement, est arrivé. Très rapidement. Un sentiment, non. Une réaction physique plutôt. J'ai connu cette chanson petite et dès que j'ai entendu "Varsovie", je savais que cette chanson qui semblait si belle etait aussi si "horrible" à la fois. Mettre des mots là-dessus tout en gardant une certaine poésie, fallait le faire. Jean-Jacques Goldman l'a fait, tout en douceur mais aussi atrocité car il n'est pas nécessaire d'employer des mots durs ou explicite. Ce qui fait la force de cette chanson. Je ne sais si c'est l'émotion qui prend le dessus, sans nul doute. Mais si un enfant de cet âge se plaignait, j'aimerais lui faire écouter cette chanson. Oui, considère que tu as eu de la chance car d'autres n'en ont pas eu. Une excellente idée d'avoir regardé cette vidéo juste avant de me coucher...

Le plus grand des chanteurs français ? Gardons le sens de la mesure. Il est bien en dessous de Brel, Brassens, Ferrat ou Ferré.. Il est regrettable qu’il ne nomme pas les choses. Pourquoi a-t-il écrit « d’autres gens en avaient décidé autrement » au lieu de « les nazis en avaient décidé autrement » ? C’est le gros défaut de Goldman : ne vouloir froisser personne. Dommage pour cette chanson sensible.

@@ddbe3932 Je trouve au contraire que c'est aussi ce qui fait sa force, au lieu de nommer "bêtement", il laisse place à de la poésie et plus de douceur, plutôt que de mettre platement un mot plombant, qui n'a rien de poétique ou de touchant. Et ça flatte un peu l'intelligence de celui qui écoute aussi, pour l'un se sera l'histoire d'un petite fille qui a de toute évidence disparue tragiquement, pour l'autre qui comprend le sens ça devient beaucoup plus chargé émotionnellement et pourtant justement les méchants ne sont jamais nommés, et c'est plus fort (de mon point de vue).

@@Tryphon3D Le nazisme a été à peu près tout sauf de la poésie et de la douceur. Ne pas nommer les choses et les événements revient à les édulcorer, à en minimiser la gravité. C’est ce que fait Goldman. C’est sa marque de fabrique : le conformisme. Il a beaucoup de talent mais ne veut fâcher personne, pas même les nazis. Dommage.

@@ddbe3932 Concernant "le plus grand des chanteurs français" (ce qui en soi n'a aucun sens), c'est une question de sensibilité ; je sais qu'il est de bon ton de cracher sur lui (et sur la musique dite "populaire"), et de porter aux nues les gens cités, mais il est loin de démériter par rapport à eux, et pour ma part, il me touche plus (mais encore une fois, c'est une question de sensibilité). Par contre, "d'autres gens" est tellement plus efficace que "les nazis"... Pas parce qu'il ne voudrait pas froisser les nazis (soyons sérieux...), mais d'une part parce que cela permet de garder le projecteur sur Sarah (c'est d'elle dont parle la chanson, des victimes, pas des coupables ; ce n'est pas une chanson de dénonciation mais d'empathie), et d'autre part parce que ces "autres gens qui en décident autrement" ne sont pas que des Nazis ; il y en a d'autres, ailleurs, en d'autres temps.

En fait, disons que pour moi il faut pas confondre le sujet et la forme. Le sujet (le nazisme) est grave, mais comment faire une chanson triste et belle sans juste dire "les nazis sont vilains" (ce qui serait à la rigueur triste encore que trop frontal, et pas beau du tout) ? Pas besoin de répondre, on peut aussi juste ne pas être d'accord :)

This song "Comme Toi" (Like You) was released in February 1983 as a second single taken from his second album "Minoritaire", ranked no.4, sold more than 500,000 copies and certified gold (disc). The song evokes a little girl named Sarah who wasn't yet 8 years old and who could live her life like all little girls her age if "other people hadn"t decided otherwise". He evokes Holocaust in this one after leafing through a family album of his mother who was born in Germany where we saw a little Jewish girl and decides to pay homage to her by giving her life in the lyrics by also comparing herself to her feeling sadness but also compassion. Do you know that this song was recorded in Spanish called "Como Tu" but it wasn"t successful despite it being specified on the cover "No.1 in France". If you want BEST SONGS by him i recommend you in 1984 "Encore Un Matin" or "Long Is The Road (Américain)" and "C'Est Ta Chance" in 1987.
