I love when you react to Celine because she's one of my all time favorites. I wouldn't have gotten through the lockdown if it hadn't been for her music. If you wanna see another emotional live performance I would suggest her BBMA performance from 2016 when she received the ICON Award and sang The Show Must Go On. It was just a couple months after her husband passed away and her first performance since his passing outside of her Vegas residency.

If you're curious, Jean Jacques Goldman wrote a lot of very good and emotional songs (in the 80s, 90s, 2000s). He collaborated a lot with Céline Dion and other French speaking singers. But he also sings himself. Some of his songs have lyrics in French and in English (he sang in duet with Michael Jones, and also in trio with Carole Fredericks). And I don't think a lot of people made reactions to his songs so...

celine dion told how the song was born. she asks jean jacques goldman to write her (words and music) a complete album. when the last song has just been recorded, he hands her a sheet music with the lyrics and tells her what you want to do with it. she bursts into tears and immediately decides to add it to the album. this is also why jean jacques goldman has been the favorite character of the french for over a decade. his way of writing his songs touches everyone even if in general it is always evasive everyone recognizes himself in his songs.

I think that for anybody to understand why this performance is emoving and why you feel celine so fragileis mostly because of the story of this song about. this particularely son has been written just after her niece died at a very early age by Jean-Jacques Goldman especially for her. she sang it live only 3 time plus she sang few lyrics of that song after rene's death.

To watch : kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWOkdaOlj9p1Y7s Jean-Jacques Goldman (who wrote the song "Vole" for Celine Dion) is a french very famous singer. He made a trio in the 90's with Michael Jones and Carol Fredericks (who worked with Mylène Farmer in the 80's). She died in 2001 and the two guys went in stage with "Un tour ensemble" ("A tour together"). They payed homage to Carol Fredericks in a special way during this tour with the song "Juste après" ("Just after") which talks about a midwife struggling to resuscitate a newborn with the few means at her disposal in Africa. Jean-Jacques Goldman will wonder what this woman can do "just after" this kind of situation. So emotional. PLEASE WATCH THAT !
