Minnesota special prosecutor Jerry Blackwell says while no evidence exists of a racist motive, most people can't believe the killing would have happened to the average white citizen.
"60 Minutes" is the most successful television broadcast in history. Offering hard-hitting investigative reports, interviews, feature segments and profiles of people in the news, the broadcast began in 1968 and is still a hit, over 50 seasons later, regularly making Nielsen's Top 10.

I am a South African and there is a seven hours(more or less) difference between us and USA and on the day of the verdict I stayed up to see it. This case has affected not only Americans but the human race as a whole and indeed the world was watching that day. So proud of the prosecutors and the jury.

Its just incredible how during the video, Chauvin looks down at George Floyd multiple times and reassuring his knee placement on his neck! Like he really really was enjoying that moment and how slowly but surely George was losing his life! All the way to the end when the ems people came to check his pulse, Chauvin still had his body weight concentrated on that damn knee! Yeah, I believe Chauvin enjoyed that moment when he took George Floyd life! He was convinced that he was going to get away with that killing. That's the only reason why he stayed on George that long. And that is pretty scary, because who knows how many times he and or his colleagues got away with something like this in the past. God does not ugly, he's finally exposed and punished for his evil heart. Stay safe everyone!!!

Yes..I never really watch a trial in my life..a whole trial.. normally I'll watch a half, but this one in particular, I kept coming back for every morning... and it was like a boxing match sort of...at times looking like the defense had the prosecutors on the ropes. The momentum swinging, but then the World Renown Breathing expert coming in was like strong knock out punch, that the defense never shook back from, and the prosecution only had to take little, but effective jobs until they outclassed the defense..in the end the defense attorneys looked defeated..I could tell they knew the persuasion was leaning with the jury, and he had to fight dirty.. bringing up personal attacks on George Floyd, putting drugs as the killer, and not Dereck Chauvin..but when it was all said and done... Guilty, Guilty ,Guilty,Guilty...ect... TKO for the Prosecutors!!!!

@Ohio State Limiting the verdict to possible uprisings seems to me an analysis that does not do justice to everything that happened in these three weeks. If people, of any color, are treated with dignity and respect thing will get better. US needs a serious transformations on the criminal justice systems. Your perception that the jury will make a verdict of guilt because the people do not rise up to demand respect and equal treatment is nonsense. It was virtually impossible not convicted Chauvin. Doing nothing and look to the other side is the way some people perpetuate abuse and mistreated. Let’s have a more intelligent look to this.

@Ohio State Talking about the situation. The whole situation. Let me explain to you something. I saw every day of the trial and every piece of evidence possible. The instructions to the Jury where clear and clarified by the Judge Cahill as many petitions as presented. The arguments of the Prosecution Team were highly rational and logical. Is not my perception. It was the evidence and the absolute conviction of the jurors of the fact. I disagreed on your perceptions. Saying that reports where the reasons for the Jury convict Chauvin, is unfair and minimize the time, efforts and understanding of the magnitude of what they were doing. They made history. There’s no doubt about it.

I find it interesting -that _no-one_ - not even the two prosecutors - were able to see the Psychology of the situation. *Derek Chauvin* most definitely reacted to the crowd - but not in the way it was spoken about at trial. He copped an attitude(no pun intended)! It was as the people of the crowd first started pleading with *Chauvin* to get off of *George,* that *Chauvin* copped the attitude *_that he's a COP and he doesn't take orders from an unruly crowd._* This can be plainly seen in that still photo of *Chauvin* with his knee in *George's* neck and his hand in his pocket. And the more the crowd pleaded, the more arrogant *Chauvin* got - to the point where the Ambulance Crew had to drag him off *George.*

Debatable for certain. His lifestyle choices might have shown otherwise. I hate that this escalated over a $20 bill. The expectation bar is set a little too high for white police officers and honestly way to low for black males.

@@philipmcguire5039 No that’s not what i meant at all. Of course Chauvin killed him, i don’t think there’s any doubt. i’m just saying it was over a year ago, anything could have happened since then. Especially the type of life he was living.

I agree. Give him the max due to 'aggravating factors'. The feds are investigating that. The DOJ is investigating his kneeling on a teen. He's being investigated for tax evasion. Don't you feel sorry for Chauvin?
