Great job with the highlights reel. DC just might the start of the “stretch 4” position. He could do everything with the rock. 6’ 10” with guard handle, could shoot like a SG and had a post game as well. 1 of my favorites all-time. 💯✊🏾

The Left Handed Assassin. DC was posting moves in the paint like a beast. Had a nice touch for a jumper and big dude. Was built like a brickhouse. Go ORANGE!

Some people don't even know because they don't care to. They say they didn't have skills. DC was very skilled.

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American. I was actually visiting my favorite uncle and aunt (Blazers fans) in Portland, in the summer of 1995, and on the local news, it showed that the Blazers were looking at a possible Derrick Coleman trade. I was EXCITED! The rumored trade was Rod Strickland and JAMES Robinson (not Cliff!), for Kenny Anderson and Derrick Coleman! What a steal that would have been! In hindsight, should I be glad, or upset, that that didn't happen? Then, everybody knows that we signed Jim McIlvaine for 7 years, $35 million in the summer of 1996, and how controversial that was. According to Peter Vescey, during 1997-98, the Sonics had a chance to trade for Derrick Coleman. Common sense tells me that that likely would have involved Jim McIlvaine and perhaps Hersey Hawkins. Coleman had a big $10 million a year contract, so it would have made sense that dumping McIlvaine would have been a huge incentive. For those of you who aren't so much Sonics or Blazers fans, how do YOU see my regrets? (Blazers not getting Coleman in 1995, Sonics not getting Coleman in 1997-98)

By far one the greatest power forwards Detroit has ever produced. He had all the tools of a stretch 4 and could mix it up in the paint as well. Chris Webber was close but D.C. has it all.
