According to Taylor and everyone she works with, she crafts lyrics for songs so incredibly quickly, with some songs being written under a day, that these small intricacies, rhymes, and wordplay inside of her lyrics have to be either meticulously put together within that small time frame or just instinctual for her. And I don't know which one would be more impressive.
@DerrikRockne4 жыл бұрын
It has to be instinctual for her now considering how many songs she's written....but either way it's fascinating!

She IS a genius!!! I love the story telling on this one. I love how the first “no body, no crime” is about cheating. There’s no body so I can’t prove the crime bc I haven’t SEEN him with her. Then the second is the meaning of him killing her. And then Taylor killing him!!! Such an incredible story teller

If you don’t know, crime junkie (a crime podcast) worked on a story for this song, which I recommend! so I’m here to tell y’all the story! Natalie and Este live in a small town and they meet up at Olive Garden every Tuesday to drink some wine, eat dinner, and just chat. One day Este doesn’t show up for wine and dinner with Natalie, and she is very suspicious. Natalie calls Este’s sister, Bethany, and Bethany says she hasn’t seen Este. Natalie and Bethany go to check Este’s job, and they say she hasn’t shown up to work. So, they go to report Este as missing, but the police say that Este’s husband, Brandon, already reported her missing. They also see that Brandon has new tires on his truck, and he had just gotten new tires a week before getting these. A few weeks go by, and Brandon is with a new girlfriend (his mistress) named Crystal. He gave Crystal all her jewelry, and gave Crystal Este’s grandma’s ring. Bethany and Natalie are furious, and decide to do something about this. Bethany calls Brandon and acts like it’s Crystal, and asks him to meet her at a hotel room. He agrees because of his cockiness, and takes the bait. Natalie is a house cleaner, and when they kill Brandon Natalie is at ease to clean up the scene. Since Natalie also has a boating license, and they take Brandon’s body and throw him in a far away river. Bethany works as an insurance agent, and takes out a huge life insurance policy and puts it under Brandon’s name, and puts it as Crystal being the heir to it. Bethany and Natalie go to Olive Garden to celebrate, and Crystal sees them there. She starts screaming that they killed Brandon and their trying to frame her for it, but she eventually gets kicked out. Natalie and Bethany then silently toast to their achievement, because if there’s no body, there’s no crime.

Ugh ryme profression and poetry. Eek. It didn't matter if it was Madoona or Wham or U2, Prince, Huey Lewis, Phil Collins or Aretha Franklin I just about died with embarrassment. word you're looking for with the internal vowel repetitions. 💗 the definition references poetry, but lyrics (and sagas) are really the same thing. as·so·nance /ˈasənəns/ noun: assonance; plural noun: assonances in poetry, the repetition of the sound of a vowel or diphthong in nonrhyming stressed syllables near enough to each other for the echo to be discernible (e.g., penitence, reticence ).
