The value of going back to the basics is priceless. Great class. Thank you!

Hi Donna, so true! We are always at a different place with our body awareness, and our perspective. As we age, have injuries, areas open, our mental views change and as we adjust our practice to accept and receive we feel new each day! Enjoy. 🙏🏻

Kathy - I am so delighted to have found you and though I have been a yogi for 20 yrs, I am now in my early 70s and with degenerative pains in my arms and neck. As this is beginners, at times I'm a little behind in catching up with you and lose it completely.
@DesaYogiIyengarYoga3 жыл бұрын
Elisabeth, fantastic to hear from you! Don’t worry about catching up, you can pause the practice and take your time. Go at your pace. With regular practice, your body will build more strength and resilience. Take a look at the practice for neck and shoulders, this may also release some tension and bring more blood flow. Watch for new releases as some will be useful and some even slower-paced. Congratulations on continuing. Use your breath and release where you are holding. Take it easy and remember I am happy to hear more from you if you have more questions. 🙏🏻

This class is really great. Thanks for this. This one is little too fast pace at some places but it is still quite amazing. Also learning from your other videos. Thanks. You are doing a great work as I didn’t realise that I can do the yoga so effectively by following online videos 😊

Hi Marta, please excuse my late reply. It’s been a bit difficult finding the exact title as we picked music for meditation. I think there are many. Hope you find something suitable. Blessings 🙏🏻

What is alternative for the chair ?
@DesaYogiIyengarYoga2 жыл бұрын
Dear Rupali, without a chair, just look for a wall and other furniture or ledges in your home. Kitchen counter, a bed, dresser, a table or whatever you can use to support and stabilise. If no bricks, find a real brick, stack of books or even tall cans from packaged food. No matter what you use, make sure it’s stable. Be curious, be creative and find out what can help you move towards the shape of the pose with freedom, stability and ease. Namaste, Kathy

How long to practice your part-1, 2 and 3 yoga parts? When to shift to your morning yoga practice?
@DesaYogiIyengarYoga3 жыл бұрын
Cheni, Thank you for practicing with me. Your question is difficult to answer as I have not seen you personally and seen your body condition. If you are completely new to Iyengar yoga you and spend many months on these poses. The three classes build on one another. We always begin with standing poses when once we learn the right actions and develop strength and confidence we add more forward bending and on from there. Take your time and see how you feel. As practitioners, we never stop practicing standing poses as they help us with all of the other asanas including being a must for learning inversions. Please join one of my free community classes which I offer once a month. I will be able to see you and advise you more as you learn.

Dear Sangha, I think it must be your internet connection. I have not ever hear this feedback. Please try in another location or connection to see where the problem lies. Thanks Kathy
