I really like the theory of giants being intelligent up to when the atmorans invaded and drove out the Falmer. There’s a giant wandering around in blackreach, so maybe the atmorans drove the giants underground as well. When making a protection deal with the dwemer, they sacrificed their intelligence similarly to how the Falmer sacrificed their sight.

Love learning the additional lore, after many play throughs it’s all the details that are constantly being uncovered that keeps me coming back for another adventure. I have noticed how race affects very little in Skyrim but still I wonder how many quests like the Argonian workhouse quest at the Windhelm docks are truly race only specific and other quests like Captain Aldis asking for a copy of the Mirror should be generalized yet I am only offered the quest on a bare handful of play throughs which makes me wonder if that is also specific to certain races. If so what else have I been missing after all these years and is there enough to do a compendium or is there one already out there?

I think giants are related to trolls. If you look at giants head you can see ridges on each side of forehead, much like those on trolls but not as pronounced and frost giant is basically a large upright troll. So either there is some common ancestry or direct relation.

I think that since the Nedes also came from Atmora, some breeded with the native Giant folk, creating the Atmorans. Which is why the Atmorans are much larger than the Nords (Ysgramor is a good example). Then when the Atmorans came to Skyrim, finding that their Nedic cousins had already made it their home, they interbreeded, creating the modern Nords. I just like thinking that they're all connected in that way.

I wish they kept the idea of recruiting giants in the civil war, my idea would be you are commanded stop a giant attack with one saying "Hold Worrier, peace." "Did you just speak?" "Yes, I speak the tongue of the small folk, and you will listen." From there, you are directed to speak with the chief of this giant clan, and he takes of the history of giants and Nords from their perspective, hitting they once were at peace with the Nords until something turned them against each other at the some time with the war between the proto-nords and snow elfs, he also hints the Dwarves may have been involved, then aid the giants in taking a dwemer ruin the giant have been using to make armour and weapons as they've learned how to smith dwaven metal, but that ruin has been overrun with falmer that have driven the out with poisons, clear the ruins cleans the poisoned waters the giant chief then tell you to tell your leader, be that Ulfric or Tullius to meet with him to talk terms on borders, the leader then convinces the Giants to become allies, to the faction, providing additional materials and trade, so when you find imperial or stormcloak camps, you'll see giants wearing stormcloak or solitude guard armour with dwaven warhammers or greatswords, and the chief is now clad in full dwaven armour, nothing not all giants agreed to the new terms and some are still hostile to you.

Hey i got a good one for your elder scrolls lore series. Just now I found a book i'd never read before in skyrim called Ahzirr Traajijizari about a group of rebelious Khajiit called the Kenrijara. The information in that book laid out their basic philosophies and what they were fighting for, but I was wondering if there was anymore lore on them, because the way the author sounds in the book it seems like they might have the plan and long game good enough to outlast the empire and the altmeri dominion. Whenever I'm wandering Skyrim and See said Giants and mammoths I tend to leave them alone unless they come and attack me randomly. Funny enough I once wandered into a Giant Camp and the Giants didn't attack only giving me the stink eye saying "Get off my Lawn!!" and I left and nothing happened

whoever is responsible for the art design of the giants in skyrim is a fucking genius. even after hundreds of hours seeing a giant is still more of a "whoa" factor than any dragon.
