Watch more from this series where we are making all the furniture for this home
• Designing a Dream Vaca...
I'm taking on the challenge of hand crafting every piece of furniture for my house, starting with a pair of super modern floating nightstands for the bedroom. I delve into the complete process, from selecting materials like a sheet of plywood and beautiful walnut for edge banding, to overcoming stability issues and employing various woodworking techniques. I demonstrate cutting, gluing, and using a router for precise joinery, as well as integrating a French cleat system for wall mounting. Throughout the project, I share useful tips and tricks, such as creating clean cuts in plywood and using clamps effectively. The video also covers my design process and how I draw inspiration for my projects. In the end, I hope this video makes you want to try making your own nightstands, just like mine or with your own creative touch!

Actually stumpy is the one who talked me into watching this channel. When I first saw Dave I hated him. I am a grumpy old man stuck in a 30 year old body and hipsters just irritate the hell out of me. I thought he was just a lame ass hipster . More KZbinr than woodworker. But I am glad I gave him another chance he’s entertaining very smart with his projects n a good woodworker.

PLEASE DO NOT STOP. I love the way how you keep these kind of videos until now. I love the short and long videos. Other youtuber/woodworker stopped doing videos like this and they ended-up with crappy videos. It shows that it is not their passion to teach and entertain. I remember that you mentioned that you are not really a woodworker but a video maker. I disagree on you with that. You are a woodworker, teacher, entertainer and a video maker. Hats-off and salute to you! I wish you more power, to your channel and to your other endeavors.

Thank you @makesomething for including other was to do stuff, it is always helpful but this time, you saved my butt. I was about to crosscut panels to final length and found out my cheap track saw is cutting way off the line/splinter guard. The tip about using miter gauge in reverse was what I needed. It was such a coincidence to watch your video just before heading to the shop.
