That mosquito mythology is the most interesting thing I've ever heard of in relation to mosquitos. These are really good designs. If they were in an official game, I would definitely consider using one on my in-game team.

Dope design if you wanted the wild fire Idea and a reason to make them fire types you could make it so they start controlled wild fires for their eggs

Super awesome video and awesome drawings! To 7:02, wild fires are unfortunately unreasonably common. There are about 70,000 a year in the United States alone, and that number is increasing :”)

BUGS YES I LOVE BUGS!! Anyway, analysis time! Embaa is basically perfect. Full stop. It has an amazing silhouette and colors, and you've successfully made mosquito larvae appealing! It reminds me a lot of Snom. I also learned about how they can extend their necks, so that's cool. I also like Kuasina! The tail is very Pokèmon and it separates itself from all the other cocoon Pokèmon. My only problem and this is a personal one, is the shades look too man-made for a Pokèmon to have, but they’re cool so idk. I also really like Moxkuitsu! It looks awesome! I feel the wings aren't ashy enough, I always think of ash as somewhat powdery and as a darker gray. I think some particle effects coming from the wings could act like ashes and maybe some orange flecks could make it more fiery. Anyway, heavy hitters across the board, great job! I would have these on my team.

Will you ever make a video on your process for drawing fakemon? I especially want to know what brushes you use since i also use krita and cant seem to find any fitting brushes

Honestly, I just use the Ink-4 Pen Rough for the lineart with a stabilizer and a round brush for everything else. No custom or special brushes

Okay I might be a month late to say my thoughts but these designs are very cool and not many changes should be made but here are my thoughts General thoughts- These are SO cool and I love the baby stage and a well incorporation of ideas and pop culture however I think a lot of them seem like after thoughts. Embaa- Embaa to me seems almost perfect, it has a design that sticks out from other regional bugs while fitting in. To me route 1 Pokémon do not need to be complex instead charming and a good idea of what’s to come and I can really see that in Embaa. One small nitpick I have though is the typing, if you are naming and basing something out of flames why make them dark. I get it for the middle stage and maybe theirs something I’m missing but it seems kind of safe when besides the fact that mosquitoes being seen as evil. This is your region and maybe I’m missing something but I would’ve at least in its dex say something about fire for example, “Embaa hatch together at lakes, they snap their neck forward to catch prey their body heat scorching its meal.” I would’ve added the bit about body due to facts I’ll touch on later or a signature ability that gives him fire stab. Besides that nitpick I have no further notes. Kausina- this is an interesting idea for a middle stage making it stand out from the pack. I would say the posing is a little awkward I think making him look a little forward would help that’s really it. One last thing one thing that all route 1 bugs have in common is that they tell a story for example for the Orbeetle line it becomes a bullied nerd to a shut in staying in his safe zone to a mad scientist out to take revenge and I think this line has a really easy way to show this without even needing to change design. Embaa is a shy kid with a lot of potential (his body heat) to a show boasting teen A.k.a a furnace waiting to burst that energy to a angry adult who wants to take it out on the world zipping along setting things on fire. Muxkuitsu- a sick design but could use some changes. I feel like a design like Muxkuitsu works best as a moving frame making it look like it’s zipping around for example some of the earlier poses you drew him with show a sort of angry pest diving down. Keeping him still and sitting in a side view like that in turn makes him look awkward and not as energetic as you would think. On an opposite note wow those wings are cool. Another I feel like wasted thing was the fire abdomen I feel like the idea of a lava lamp abdomen is cool and should’ve been used but I understand the reasoning why. Besides that these are all sick I might add more but thanks. I’m sorry I took awhile I wanted to add as much as possible without rushing.

I do really like the idea of the lines telling a story but also some of my favorite bug types are like the Venipede line which I like purely for looks. Not to say there isn't potential for a story to be told through the evolutions here. All I know is that I wanted this mosquito Pokemon line to connect to the Tlingit mythology of the origin of mosquitos. I really did struggle with the typing. I am very undecided because the line is based on a cannibal but in the story, the cannibal gets burned and their ashes become mosquitoes. You can see why I was messing around with the fire typing. Perhaps I could play with the idea that only the middle stage has something to do with ashes. I agree that Moxkuitsu definitely deserves a different pose to really sell the energy this mon would be flying and attacking with.
