I love all the little embroidery details on Faye's outfit. I think Faye is a fine name, it could hint at a dreamer side of his personality that is hidden behind the pessimism. The backstory for Caddy is quite interesting as well. Looking forward seeing more!

Finally had time to sit down and watch this! I absolutely love the dialogue box design as well as Faye's outfit. You always do a good job mixing east and west design elements. I can imagine caddy with an "are you for real?" expression HAHAHA

About the names... Don't think too much about them as long ans you think their good enough, you can still change them later if you find a better one. It's a nightmare if you tries to get the perfect name as everyone will think differently about it anyway and your feeling about it will change over time. Just having a name that make sense (and that is not copyrighted) is enough. You can maybe have some fun names by picking a theme like it's often the case for some anime. Knowing from what kind of culture the character comes and what kind of names that culture has can also help in some way as well as knowing the mentality and preferences of the parents. Moreover, the names can be integrated in a few conversation if a character is curious about its meaning and origin. It will be additional work that may not be needed but adds more depth to the characters. It mostly depend on how much the character's origin is important or not for the game and story. Anyway, don't think too much on small details, or you'll never finish anything... like me 🥲

Surprisingly people like the name faye XD I just picked it out cause it sounded nice so i wasn't convinced it was a good fit cause there isn't much meaning to it hahaha. People have been coming up with good ideas for why his name should be Faye HAHAH so its like working backwards WHICH IM DOWN FOR CAUSE IT MAKES ME LIKE THE NAME MORE HAHAHA, my friend said she likes how he has a non chalant personality making him un-faye-zed. These are great pointers to choosing a name, thank you 💐!!! hahahha true, BACK TO WORKING ON THE GAME!!!! (you better work on yours too, you have too many good ideas not to!)

Great video! It make me want to continue working on my games :) I noticed one think that should be improved. That may be personal, but I can't help to think the lighter option is the one selected, so inverting the visual logic may help. To be sure there is no confusion, adding some kind of visual indicating with button is active could help, like the bow on the label corner being active only on the selected option or adding some kind of pointer. And you can also add a small UI animation, like a slight horizontal offset, nothing too fancy. The issue especially arrise due to having only 2 options and having no way to distinguish which of the two visual is the one selected (especially if it loops). It's not a real issue as the user will learn it after the first menu anyway, but some additional Clarity will not hurt.

I took a bit of a break from Caddy's Tea Service it can be so hard to stay consistent but It's good to come back and expand on what you already have! I haven't!!! I've heard other youtubers mention it for like additional content but haven't looked much into it myself and what I need for it. you should try making unique customers that have diffrent tea preferences and look difrent also add some cat toys

That sounds good, might implement that in the future! At the moment the only thing that makes the customers unique is their patience timer like some kids are less patients than adults so this could be a great addition!! CAT TOYS, BIG BRAIN IDEA OMG I would love to see that in the game, animals are never interactive enough in games!!! I just want to provide all the cats with unconditional love and cradling (Although I don't think Caddy will let Faye hold him hehehe). Will have to add this!✍️✍️✍️✍️

I personally think fey is a fine name. But maybe you can make that one his artist name ? As in caty decides to call him fay as long as he wörks there. This culd also be a way for Caty to distance himself from fey since he knows he will die and or leave him one day. (Or fay is his real name and he gets an apprentice name from Caty) it wuld also have some chihiro vibes ;)

Thanks for the suggestions 💛! Nature names is a must it does really suit him! I didn't know what Aspen meant before but after searching it up it has such nice meaning to it 😊
