Love this book! kzbin.infoUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!

Man, your videos are on a whole different level from the typical build videos of other wood workers. Rather than go into heavy detail about technique and method, you tell the story behind what you are building. It makes the videos more than just informative...it makes them truly entertaining. Thanks for another great one. I really dressered it.
@ericlee16247 жыл бұрын
I found this and your other videos while looking for ideas on building a new dresser for my 13 year old daughter who is finally outgrowing her old bedroom downstairs, and moving to one of the upstairs bedrooms. Apparently, I'm a huge fan of mid century modern style, and especially your take on it. As a new hobbyist woodworker, its easy to get caught up in your narratives as much as the project, but your attention to detail and camera angles makes it easy enough to follow the process. Great job Chris, and thanks for the inspiration.

Your video is the best example of when something is made for all the right reasons, the beauty of it will speak for itself. Example: those mistakes you spoke of, in my opinion, became a wonderful customized look.

Thanks Forrest :O) Yeah, there are very few mistakes that completely ruin a project. Luckily this one worked out.

So, I started watching this video thinking it was going to help me, a total beginner, build my first dresser only to find it wasn't even close. Not wanting to waste my time, I was about to click out....but I started to appreciate the visual artistry and your storytelling gift, the music and especially the warmth in the details of the story of you and your friend and your wives and children. What a beautiful video. I was completely drawn in like a fly to a web, but with a happy ending :) I'm glad you shared it, and I'm really glad I stayed.

Thanks! Glad you were able to find enjoyment in it. Yeah, I don't think of the videos as "tutorial" more entertainment, with the opportunities for a few takeaways depending on your current skill level...and hopefully a little bit of motivation :)

Your story time well working is so touching ....I almost cried myself but that maybe because I have Multiple Sclerosis. I have started doing my own home inmprovements and am about to start painting my first room and installing laminate flooring. I have not done these types of things before but feel that I can do this. It is not easy but I get a great deal of happiness out of doing DIY's. I want to do as much as I can while i still can. I have been in a wheelchair twice.

Nice one. Gets to the motivations for making things for people. Bonus for people you love, but just for people too - because that's what makes design important (both when it shines and when it, um, others), it's a commitment. To people. Makes it a good thing to work at, imho.

i really like it...with one exception. And i certainly don't mean to be an armchair (err, office chair) woodworker but the metal drawer slides, i feel, take away from the beauty and simplicity of the piece. Wooden runners with wax or even metal slides mounted to the underside of the drawer boxes would be an improvement and make for a cleaner look when the drawer is extended. Let's end this with a super positive comment, your elegance and simplicity of design, video production, and storytelling as well as craftsmanship and shop equipment are a thing of beauty.
