i love when Rick warren humbly said I have no brain capacity to understand God . .. well Amen. God is God and let Him be God . .. He even said : Nobody can fathom what he has prepared for those who believe in Him. ... Jesus is perfecter and finisher of our Faith.❤️❤️❤️ Calvinism Armenism . What we missed out is Really shifting our focus in Jesus and glorify God as long as we breathe. Its not about which theology ....Jesus also said that whoever preach His name let him do it . we are all different bodies of christ with different functions but our main focus and purpose is JESUS . ... we only make it complicated ... shifting the focus away from Jesus ... 😢

Theres only one body, not many or "different" bodies. And you cant go around teaching lies, and then say theology is unimportant. Theology is simply what the bible decalres.

Perhaps when you say “this generation” you mean “the worldview of this generation”? Mr. Warren promotes a counterfeit gospel. It looks nearly identical to the real one, but it’s certainly a counterfeit-new-age gnosticism adorned with a biblical veneer. The Bible tells us to judge righteously, and he needs to be called out. I say this only with compassion and a hope that he comes to seek the true Christ rather than the worldly Christ, the latter of whom is soft on sin.

The verse realizing, is referring to those who are In Truth, The Christ, and have received Him, so wondering exactly what your point is? A new Ager can say they love each other and everyone else too. Cannot a tax collector love another tax collector, can another child of hell love another child of hell? (not arguing John Piper though, he says a lot of good things (don't bash me on that one now..;-) ...he does Desire to Know God...in the Person of His Christ..apart from that, it's all 'verbiage'.

As a believer growing up in a doctrinally centered bible teaching church, I must admit the image of Pastor Warren was somewhat impaired. I was very impressed by his theological grounding. I learned a lot of things about him that I did not know, which reflected well on him as a pastor and a child of God. Thank you for the humility to explain yourself, the net result was a conscious decision on my part to read and listen to your books/sermons in the future, where it previously was not a priority. May God use it to conform me into the image of His Son.

He was merely showing respect. It doesn’t mean he agrees with him. You have to show someone respect if you are going to have influence over them. Listen to Rick’s words. He doesn’t believe in purgatory. He doesn’t agree with s lot of catholic doctrine but he is respectful. I don’t agree with some of my parents ideas but I’m respectful. I know I can’t get them to consider my ideas if I don’t come across as loving and respectful. The Pharisees never converted anyone to real Christianity.

Ardent Fan seems to me you are the accuser of the brethren bud. You're the one brandishing about accusations as far as I'm able to read here. You folks throwing out theses horrible accusations against Christians seem to have one heap of a problem in your life.
@garydean777
@garydean777 6 жыл бұрын
Nothing to do with having guts. You're seriously wrong but are totally blinsd to the TRUE facts. You've given your heart over to the accuser & it's his bidding you are doing....pure & simple. You're on a very slippery slope indeed & t only slides in one direction.
@garydean777
@garydean777 6 жыл бұрын
Ok you said I couldn't have listened to many of his videos...wrong. I had listened to most of them. You then said I then could not know God's word or the Bible very well if I had come to the conclusion he was a man of God....wrong. I've been studying the Bible for over 50 years & spent many years as a missionary in several countries at risk to freedom life & limb at times. I've given my life to bring the Gospel to the places I've been. You now say I'm a conformist who is afraid to speak the truth & am only comfortable with PC. You couldn't be more wrong. I'm extremely outspoken when need be & hate PC. I've been in the firing line more times than I can count. I've lived in it trusting that if I'm in the will of God He'll take care of me & he has never failed to do so miraculously at times. Everything you have concluded about me has in fact been the EXACT opposite of the facts. If you could be so wrong about me (& you know NOTHING about me) it's not the least bit surprising you've got it wrong in this case with this Godly man too. Still I very much doubt you'll listen to reason. Sadly you folks who have everybody pegged & figured out rarely if ever do. The world is as you see it & it appears even God probably has a difficult time piercing through your erroneous & false conclusions. I'm outta here as I've delivered my soul & attempted to state the truth. Your call...your life...your choice.

Ive seen KZbin clips slandering Christian ministers. People will spend so much time making videos that show no love or mercy towards leaders who don't teach what they agree with. As I read the scripture we are to reprove but in LOVE through scripture. I really appreciate John Piper setting a good example and sitting down with Rick Warren to address concern with humility and gentleness. I think instead of calling someone out by making videos that show no real concern but to deliberately slander a person we should pray for them and pray that God will bring them back to the truth or put someone in their path that can speak to them personally in the biblical way. Too many are proclaiming to be watchman but do not walk in the fruit of the Spirit. We all need to be careful because anyone of us can stumble, for me personally I would rather be reprove someone who really loves and cares for me than someone who is just out to get me.

+Martha Newcomb If the devil himself would come to you in human form and speak slight distortions of the true Word of God, you would not notice it with your worldly attitude which you display here. The Word of God is our sword and weapon against the powers of darkness. We are supposed to use the Word of God as a weapon and wound and kill principalities and powers of darkness and be the light of the world and SPEAK the true Word of God and not fear consequences. True followers of Christ are supposed to be like oil that under no circumstances mix with the water of the world. Martha, your words sound kind and loving, but that kind of love and care is what sends people sugarcoated to hell. Sugarcoating is no love. God, even Jesus, is Love and Truth.

+Alki Malk wow! I'm sorry you feel that way! You don't know me. I'm loving but I'm not surgarcoating sin! I do believe in reverence and respect for God's word! Apostasy is very real! And I know it's all over TV and with popular Christian speakers. However, calling them names like stupid or idiots or demon-possessed people is not fruitful for the body! The only way people can truly discern is through the word. Even videos are flawed. I can be mad all I want but my prayer is for those who are mislead or doing the misleading will turn their hearts to God! In John 17:17 it says the word of God sanctifies. It's the word that gives clarity! I need to be very careful how I address the body or anyone claiming to be part of it! If I'm wrong or misjudged I'm accountable to God for what I say! God is all about restoring! I have to keep myself from allowing Satan to make me bitter towards anyone! Especially those who do wrong in the body. It's a slippery slope. Be careful.
@alkimalk2922
@alkimalk2922 8 жыл бұрын
Martha Newcomb Nice text, you begin all "christian", I suppose, and end it all in fear and in satan. You mention Jesus not even once, but express your fear for satan... You all busy with everyday life, you poor you? No time to go to the marriage feast? You have to feed your child, care for your husband, work is too much, and all is dragging you so much down and exhausting you, right? Wake up! You shall fear God, not satan. God the Creator is greater than satan the created. Do not fear satan's power over your life for God is at your side if you keep staying at God's side. Be holy, be strengthened in spirit through prayer and fasting, and fight with your sword and be guarded with your armor. Jesus will win the war halleluja, and there won't be any satan evermore. This is how you shall address those who claim to be part of the body of Christ: Rebuke sin and sinners in the church and CAST THEM OUT OF THE SANCTUARY WITH WHIPS and give them over to satan! You SHALL NOT keep them in the sanctuary while you pray for them but you shall CAST THEM OUT FIRST in the hands of satan and then pray for them! Since this is something the church won't do, in the contrary, the church opens its doors to ALL men and women and demons alike and casts out true Word-obedient Christians (being called quarrelsome "fundamentalists"), you SHALL run out of the whore of a church and run for your life, literally! The body of Christ as you call it is lukewarm and makes Jesus feel all sick and ill inside. The body of Christ is pathetic and Jesus shivers in disgust. Get out of her and do not have any share in her whoring, and don't stay in it any longer. God is all about restoring? Who told you that? My God, how I read about Him in the Bible and how I have experienced Him, does not restore anything in the sense of "repairing" but always makes, fashions, and creates NEW things. Literally, God would never glue the pieces of a broken vase all up but would throw the pieces away and make a new vase. God has no interest in restoring this fallen church, in the contrary, He calls His saints to jump out of the rotten and sinking boat of a whore. You shall not be bitter and hate humans but shall hate sin. If you love humans with a godly love, then you will rebuke your neighbor according to the parable: "first cast out the trunk out of your own eyes so that you may see clearly to precisely pull the small wood piece out of your brothers eye. Judgment begins on yourself first, and from there with a clear eyesight moves on to those around you. The saying "Jesus said you shall not judge!" is from satan. I don't care if you know a Jesus, but do you know The Jesus? You know that Jesus is God? God Himself? You tell me to be "careful", and I tell you that I could not care less. I will run on my little feet like an infant on its small feet and likewise I will fall on my face many times. I do not fear the falling for the running is way too exciting and I do not feel pain, for I am no adult but a babe, and my Father loves me and gave life to me, and once I fall, my Father has already lifted me up and put me on my feet. I shall not fear satan, I shall fear God and be in peace forever. Even so, come quickly, God Jesus.

It is not light in the darkness, but a myopic rendering of an ignorant/arrogant sense. As if you are god. You’re not. The last being who really tried to duke it out that way, so full of themselves was Lucifer. Be more like Jesus, less like Lucifer. Maybe you worry about you, where you stand with god. Isn’t god big enough to take care of it himself. Plus his command was “love one another” If you’re not doing that...you are being a heretic :)

Shockingly, Warren can say all the right "words". But his ministry and teaching deny the same truths. I have to wonder if Piper intended to give credibility to Warren. His last advice, however, seems as thought Piper is trying to influence Warren gently to repent. Didn't work.

Love John Piper and Rick Warren. This is a wonderful interview in showing the depth of Godly men. People want to slam Rick Warren on different events that he spoke at. Personally I believe Rick Warren is conscious of the venue he chooses because it spreads the Gospel of Christ to masses that would normally not listen to Christian sermons. Example in (Matthew 9:12) Jesus says "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick." Regardless whether or not people totally agree with Rick Warren's theological views one thing is prevalent and that is his love and committment to the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is ultimately what it's all about. Praise and glory to your name Jesus forever

Far fewer people want to slam the man himself, just what he preaches...Chrislam. When I found that out, I stopped following him and distanced myself for my own good. People of the Muslim faith need sound Scripture and yes, that includes Scripture that goes against the Koran.

What proof is there that Rick Warren promotes chrislam? If he is straying away from biblical doctrine then pray for him. What did people expect Pastor Piper to do in this interview? Would people enjoy watching Piper insult Warren or beat him? As Christians we must correct each other in love, In LOVE. Any correcting should not be done on a you tube video. Piper is not called to embarrass another Christian neither are we. So for those of you criticizing Piper; Shame on you! These "youtbe watchmen" need to pray for love and mercy and discernment to know the difference between a wolf in sheep's clothing and a sheep that doesn't have it all together. Pray for Warren.

hey guys... Rick Warren was off his rocker to have said what you've quoted him saying. I'm not here to defend him... not at all. But understand we all say stupid things from time to time and they can be used our of context as well. regardless... a pope for all Christians is absurd. you and i both know this. but we all know that there is one truth and it's found in Chris Jesus. for He is the only way to salvation. the only path that leads to the Father in heaven. and yes, we are to judge each others fruit... how else can we hold each other accountable. Rick has some explaining to do as far as i'm concerned. but the truth still stands. one way to heaven... only thru Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not even a problem... i too, think many of the mega churches are run by the "golden rule"... most churches for that matter... and that means... "those with the gold... rule" sadly, my many many years of church experience, both as a parishioner as well as a full time church employee have be enlightening... most negatively, unfortunately. Power and control are found everywhere. Christ Himself was against the "established" church of the first century. too much piety. I believe it's Satan's way of making today's church ineffective for the true calling... Matt. 28. Peace Brothers... Stand firm in the Truth!
