I have had a very hard life. Deaths, physical ailments and serious pain. I am really believing the words you have spoken! It makes sense, even in the most abstract sense. For I delight in my pain and suffering!

I wish you guys would make playlists for each series instead of one large playlist of almost 500 of these clips to have to sort through.

Not sure the argument as stated is valid but only because of the vague & broad view taken. It’s not that God doesn’t discipline but rather that it’s not as simplistic as stated. Consider Job for example, I’m not sure Gods intention was discipline so much as it was testing. Think of all the wrong assumptions of Jobs friends which included sin implying discipline. Also, a host of issues emerge in how you perceive the events. Which is also highlighted in Job. And misinterpreting in these two places can cause a lot of issues. Again, it doesn’t mean he does not discipline it just means it’s more complex in practice than a sorta vague this was from God for discipline because that leaves to much open to human perception of meaning in the event when we really have no idea exactly what it was related to in every case. I would also argue that being subject to the God in events requires correct understanding and ultimately response.

And add to this John 9:2-4 which would seem to further expand the topic.
