If you truly believe and repent he will forgive your sins. I still struggle with some things after 3 years, but the change that God made in my life is unbelievable. Strive to be perfect, but if you are not perfect you don't need to punish yourself too much, have patience and trust the Lord, no matter how bad it looks, everything work out in favor of those who believe on Him, even times of tribulation because that will make you more patient and hopeful. To be honest I don't know if we can be perfect in this life, but we can strive to it, that's wonderful. I love you in Christ, God bless.

Your sins, your past, your anger, anythibg you are dealing with gets put on the back burner because Jesus will be the one you will cling to. The Holy Spirit is your leader, the ultimate teacher and He will guide you where to go. Get into a good holy spirit filled church, get into working in a good church, have fellowship with other believers, and you will see God lead you and manifest the work of God in your life. Great Message. I think and feel that the part about Inheritance he should have said 1. God 2. Eternal Life and Abundant Life 3. Glorified Body I don’t really care about the World. Heaven is a Created Place where God Sits where he Created. Later he will Create a New Heaven and Earth Revelation 21:1-5. Yes we do receive a New Earth. But Deeper the Inheritance is God. Because God will Created a new Heaven and the Earth. Heaven for some people does not include God. Example New World Order or a what the Devil wanted To overthrow God and take Heaven. Overall Great Sermon. Learned a lot from Romans 8:9-18. Learned if a Child of God you will have the HolySpirit verse 9. Will be Led by the Spirit verse 14. And will put to death the sin of the deeds of the flesh by the HolySpirit verse 13. Transparency sometimes I put to death the deeds of the flesh by Human Intellect. It does not work all the time. Human intellect is not consistent 100% all the time. I have to work on that and stop. Though I am led by the Spirit at times. I do hate my sins! And i do want to please God and obey his word.

Where does it say in the Bible that God has to prove to us that we are saved? He does this when he convicts us of making war with our own sin? Answer: nowhere. How can we successfuly make war with our own sin when it clearly states that no man is righteous, not one. We are all sinners. That means that we could never 'make war with our sin' to eradicate it entirely. Where does it say that our own efforts to strive and overcome sin would result in salvation. God saves, we don't. We have nothing at all to do with our own salvation. Not according to John Piper. Where does the cross enter into all this? The whole point of the cross is that Jesus died to pay for our sins. It is finished, he uttered. So they are already paid. Therefore, we have no need to 'make war with our sin' for salvation because we are no longer in Adam. How do we know that? We know that by believing and trusting on the Lord Jesus for everlasting life. Jesus did not say that we will get everlasting life if we make war with our sin and that he would pave the way for that to happen. Jesus didn't pave the way for anything. He completed the work on the cross entirely. He has paid for our sin. You live under grace. That means there is no war on sin that can threaten your salvation. This is the basic Gospel message. John Piper is speaking heresy. He speaks in circular logic: God has saved and you know he has saved you because you bear fruits to kill your own sin so you know that you are saved then. Then he goes onto to say that not all sin will be killed. So where does that leave you? Puzzled and confused I expect. No wonder his Pastor John Podcasts are so full of queries from angst ridden Calvinists who don't know if they are saved or not. Why they would seek assurance from John Piper I will never know. It's like asking Dracula where to buy garlic. ----- MAN MADE SOURCES.... My gut wrenches for all of you who struggle with salvific assurance everyday, as you inevitably will if you are Calvinist like John Piper and John MacArthur. Jesus never intended that. Yet man has made the Gospel benign with fancy words and interpretations taken from man made philosophy that overcomplicate the Gospel and make the walk of discipleship commensurate with salvation and also a struggle that no one could truly conquer and leaving you to guess where you might end up after death. I FEEL THE LORD HAS SAVED ME..... Furthermore, John Piper above is stressing that we know in our bones and we can feel that we are assured. Yet the Bible absolutely refutes that we can rely upon our feelings to know our standing with God. In fact, it is dangerous to do so. We know, we don''t feel that we are one of God's children. We know because we trust and believe in Jesus and what he did on the cross. That is how. Feelings don't come into it. THE GOSPEL AS IT REALLY IS I would urge all of you below, struggling with assurance, to look at other preachers on salvation and soteriology. 1. Leighton Flowers (ex-Calvinist) 2. Tom Cacuzza (Norland Baptist Church) 2. Ralph Yankee Arnold These preachers know the simple and truth of the Gospel message. There is nothing complicated about it. God made man in his perfect image, but Adam and Eve screwed up and from then on man was separated from God (Genesis) So here is a quick run through of how it all hangs together using the accurate Free Grace model. 1. Man is a sinner by nature. Not based on deeds, but based on inheritance, inter-connectivity with others whose own sin might be connected to our own. Sin cannot be individuated by listing, confessing and repenting of it. There are specific sins you can do that for, but for many you can't because you aren't aware of them. 2. Man must be cleansed of sin to be united with God. It is a too big deal for us to do, that's for sure. 3. Man can't do that alone. Man is not a sinner becuase he sins; he sins because he is a sinner by nature. That should tell you he vastness of the problem. It is beyond our control entirely, completely and utterly. 4. Jesus who is God (hyperstatic union) had to die on the cross because, as God, only he could pay for our sins in full - past present and future. The goodness of man was never going to be anything but filthy rags. That just tells us how magnificent and glorious God is. Beyond our ability to really appreciate him for all he is. 5. The Gospel message is that we understand the above : why Jesus came, why he died, why he rose again and to then receive Christ to be saved. When we do that, it means that we turn from our state of Adam (recognising our status as sinners) and turn toward Christ. We have repented (changed our mind about wanting to remain in Adam) and we are now saved (adopted into the family of Christ as a saved sinner). I call this 'turn or burn'. You do that by declaring your faith in God - a sort of confession which is not counted as works. Then the Holy Spirit enters you because you have received Christ. Your sins are forgiven you. Not just past sins or sins you have conquered and are no more. But your sins ...the ones you are committing still as well. 6. As a saved Christian we then have assurance based on John 3:16. We were saved by grace alone, in faith alone, and by Christ alone. Nothing we do from now on can help us become more saved, more repentent, more assured. Nor do we need to remove our sin nature to be forgiven of sin - again. God has already done that. Our souls have been captured and installed into our new creation body. To confess and repent as if to gain salvation is to re-crucify Christ. We should be a disciple of Christ because the Holy Spirit indwells us and then convicts us to be a disciple by performing 'works' by way of service (James 2). This has NOTHING to do with salvation. That is a done deal. You are saved, you are a child of God already. You do works as a child of God not to become one by earning it (or to fear losing your salvation). An important distinction. 7. By way of gratitude, reverence for God because we are children of God - assured of our inheritance - over time we love the Lord by showing him that by honouring him, obyeing his commandments, confessing and repenting of sin - but only to please him and honour him and to enjoying closer fellowship with him and be effective witnesses to the lost, as we walk with him. Confessing our sins and repenting of them by laying them at the cross has nothing at all to do with cleansing sin from ourselves to be saved in the way JP has just described. Or, as he put it - to make war on our sin. Otherwise, why did Jesus die in the first place? God made war on our sin, we don't need to do it to be saved. He not only made war on our sin, he conquered our sin too. It is finished, he uttered in his last breath. Our salvation is assured whether we sin or not - as we will. If we think we won't then the truth is not in us. 8. We will face trials and tribulations, but we are assured by our faith which we put in Christ when we placed out trust and belief in him [John 3:16]. Yes we will suffer. Many won't understand our faith, will be blinded by the truth, will envy us, will see Jesus as more powerful than they are. if we love Christ we will be tempted by the world but will want to resist it if we want to show Christ we love him more than the world or anything else. Yes, you will suffer. You won't deny Christ to our enemies. To do that would be to negate the purpose of being Christian which would suggest you are not saved at all. 9.. When we stumble and fall, don't obey God, still sin everyday - as well will in this tempting world - we are still God's child. Corinthians tells us that. Paul called these vile carnal Christians, Saints. Paul never suggested they might lose their salvation or that they were not saved. 10. Once saved, always saved. You are heaven bound but without the yoke of legalism, without the burden of works based salvation, without the burden of 'try or fry' wars on sin to cleanse yourself of it to be saved. Why? All the honour, and glory and power goes to the Lord Jesus Christ, that is why. If you so much as add one pip to your salvation by way of works for salvation (or fruits are evidence of your salvation which is ongoing), you will negate the purpose of the cross, negate the deity of Christ, not be a Christian and will not see heaven. There are countless people who will claim to know God but God will claim not to know them. Why? Because the God they trusted and believed in was not Jesus, he was actually called Sproul, Piper, MacArthur and other Lordship Salvationists who want a teeny weeny bit of credit for your discipleship and salvation to go to them. That's why. God will not share his glory with anyone. He is a jealous God. Conclusion: Furthermore.....talking about fruits of the spirit being evidence of anything. What about the fruits that are evidence of a good preacher that knows the truth? On the Calvinist sites like this one, you see many angst ridden watchers who suffer from assurance. You get nothing like this on the sites led by the three above. Who would you rather believe? A preacher who claims assurance is possible and easily knowable by relying upon feelings and being at war with sin you can't fully overcome - but somehow that doesn't seem to apply to you as you suppress, strive, pray endlessly for God to do something that he has already done. Or from joy ridden Christians who stumble but know that their simple belief and trust in the Lord gives them all the assurance they could possibly want. What does that tell you?
