If we disagree with a brother or sister on something that is not a salvation issue, love is always the key and should always be our response. We are under the law of love. The law of Christ. Is it better to be right all the time? What would it gain if we prove a point and lose a brother or sister? What would we gain if we destroy what God has built up?

We are all trying to eliminate condemnation in our lives for the sole purpose of achieving a sound mind. Problem: our judgement of others is determinant of our ability to do so. No forgiveness and compassion......no soundness of mind. The only errors we can make is reserving anything for self.

Proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition! This phrase covers a great deal of modern day visible Christian denominations. 1 Corinthians 3:1-7 KJVS [1] And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. [2] I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. [3] For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? [4] For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? [5] Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? [6] I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. [7] So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. I am a Catholic, I am of Luther, I am of Calvin I am a Baptist a Pentecostal. None of whom teach as Apostle Paul commanded. 1 Timothy 4:10-11 KJVS [10] For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. [11] These things command and teach. www.justifiedfreely.com

Sometimes it’s hard to decipher between us and the dogs. How many born-again Christian’s do you think attend Joel Osteen’s church ? And would we want to argue/debate with them?

When you keep analyzing a line of a Bible verse excessively you lose the real meaning and message of the whole verse/chapter and find yourself making conjectures. The most important thing is the message the writer wishes to convey to his readers.

there are a lot of different extremes and realizations and there are moderate things and not everyone is called and there are many people who are wrong. not every starting point is the same but the important thing is here that there is this conclusion and paul did some pretty bad things before he came to these conclusions. so while there is everyone there is also not everyone but only those who the Father calls. not everyone is righteous.

What do you mean "arguing with Christians"?

He means those that believe you must do the Jewish law in order to live Christ like.

So I'm trying to unpack this passage and what I get is this: Paul is saying that he is abandoning his relationship to the Jewish faith because he believes that through his faith in Christ, Paul can gain eternal life. Paul believes that by doing so, he shares in Christ's death for Jesus accepted death on the cross because he believed that many would have eternal life. The Jewish people on the other hand put there faith in their culture and the Jewish law of circumcision. They celebrate their inheritance as a symbol of their righteousness, thus they're rich. When it comes to envy and rivalry, Paul is referring to Jesus being Jewish and thus under the law for he too, was circumcised. So if Jesus followed the Jewish law, than Christians should follow the Jewish law. Paul then shows that although he was as Jewish as can be for he was a Pharesee of Pharesees. But to know Jesus, Paul gaves up his inheritance as being worthless. Therefore Paul makes it clear that Christ stands separate from the Jewish nation. To try and live by the law can only end in failure, but to live for faith in Christ can only give success in the resurrection.
