Norwegian here. Today billions of us World citizens have been disgusted and disappointed (yet again) by the so-called law system of the US. I happened to see a Canadian who expressed just that, if in slightly different words, but who started out saying that "it is probably none of my business". That was the only detail in their comment that I disagreed with. I tried to reply, but youtube did one of its customary "disappearing acts" with my comment. I'll try again here: This *_IS_* our phøkking business, too. And no one apart from willfully ignorant and/or just plain _vile_ trump-adorers will tell us otherwise. Most US citizens have realized, by now, that what happens (or not) in their country, the most influential country in the world, creates repercussions all across our little planet. If anything, the mega-MESS of a trump has achieved to highlight this fact as never before. And they understand that trump, and preferably all of his co-conspirators & enablers, *_NEED_* to face & taste justice & accountability, and they *_NEED_* to be made an example of, before the eyes of the World. Not only because this is what his most direct victims, the people of USA, so rightfully deserve. Also because it will serve as a much needed reminder to corrupt law-despising wannabe dictator oriented individuals everywhere that they are *NOT* (or _should_ not be, at the very least) above the law *NOR* welcomed (by rational folks) as potential presidential candidates!!! What there is of freedom and democracy everywhere is at risk here. USA, in particular what there is of checks and balances, law and (so-called?!) justice, has the *_obligation,_* to trump's victims and to the entire World, to have justice deal *JUSTLY* with trump .

I also never begged when I was homeless, although I did do some busking. I would pawn my guitar for $5 so I didn't have to carry it around or risk getting it stolen at the shelter. I also showered and wore clean clothes. Trump wouldn't last a day on the streets.

I was luckier than most people because I had friends that would let me couch surf for a night or two. I had a tent, a sleeping bag and a backpack but I rarely slept outdoors. I worked temp jobs and busked mainly for the fun of it. I like to drink, and the shelter here breathalyzes people and they won't let you stay if you blow positive, I got busted once. If I wanted to drink, I would ask a friend to put me up and I would buy the booze to pay them back and do dishes or whatever. I was luckier than most people, but it was a serious struggle to get back to having an apartment again and I'm grateful to all the people that helped me on my journey.

This is true. Trump owns the building but NOT the land that it sits on, which is owned by a German shipping family. Trump leases the land for that reported annual amount. They are both called bonds, but this is a different type of bond. The people in jail are facing criminal trial and putting up a bond as a surety they will appear at trial. This is a civil trial and the bond is intended to pause seizure of assets while the appeal is ongoing. There are a lot of problems with the criminal bond system, but this example really isn't applicable to those situations.

@@Amadawn89 Nope. First off, it's going to depend on how many shares are actually purchased to determine a value. Secondly, the SHAREHOLDERS will own that money, not Trump or the RNC. Thirdly, Trump would have to sell his shares to realize any profit, and he can't do that for at least 90-180 days after the initial offering per SEC regulations, which means nobody will be realizing any profit until at least July, and possibly not until October. In the short term, the Truth Social SPAC merger won't help him in the slightest, and pretty sure it's not going to generate anywhere near what the pundits are forecasting.

Dozed off in front of the TV late one evening and woke up to Sara McLachlan singing Angel, which I thought was beautiful almost beyond words. Beside her was this old hound dog who looked like he'd been down on his luck for quite a while. Well, that old dog and I made eye contact, and somehow our souls connected. Result was that I became a donor to the ASPCA, which I still am. I also resolved that any dog that drifted by my house would not leave with an empty stomach. I can only hope that the old dog had a good life following his TV appearance. Please, let it be so!
