I just started playing Destiny 2 and honestly I’ve loved it so far. However, that’s only because I’ve been able to play through all the content they’ve made up to this point, so I can honestly see why everyone is pissed at Bungie. If I had payed 60$ to play Red Legion alone, and had to wait years for enough content to be released to justify the money, I would be pissed off too.

I can explain, we keep playing through it because of it died, it would never have evolved and would have ended then and there. We kept playing through the hell so the one day bungie could change it, they could fix everything activision had caused. Nick Neumann Destiny has an amazing amount of lore, but the way it was implemented was very poorly done. Look in to what happened during Destiny 1's development; the game was doomed from the start because of horrible decision making on what otherwise could have been an incredible game. Destiny 2 has a pretty solid story overall, but I'm still wishing for an in-game grimoire.

I heard that the reason the game did so poorly is because Activision fired a lot of the people who made halo good and other employees left mid development so they could make halo at 343 studios. Activision also bossed Bungie around when developing the game.

Supershadow301 To be fair, Cuphead has received a lot of attention because of its brilliant aesthetics(although the gameplay itself feels satisfying as well.). And good indie games have always been popular, not as mainstream as AAA, but still popular. This vid sortof explains why I mainly buy and play good indie games: indie devs are usually in the business following their passion, so they almost treat their game like their own child. They also can't afford to be lazy greedy sh*ts like big studios are because they don't have the resources to fall back to. As a result, we get cute little games with memorable gameplay(and sometimes great story), some of them being outright brilliant. (e.g Terraria, TBoI, Etg, Cuphead, Nuclear throne, Super meat boy, Hyper Light Drifter, Stardew Valley, Gigantic, any game made by behemoth studios, any game made by super giant games, Shovel Knight, I can go on forever.)

FightNight I've been a Destiny fan since year one, and the community is well aware of all the problems with the game. Check out the Destiny subreddit and you'll see the salt in the community. Thing is I still love the game because the gameplay is fantastic. My biggest complaint with D2 is the lack of an endgame and limited mode selections in Crucible, but I trust the live team at Bungie to bring the game up above D1 in time. I hate the DLC model Destiny has, but at the same time you have to understand that game prices have not changed since 360/PS3 era yet development costs are constantly rising. I would say I've gotten more out of vanilla D2 than I have with many other AAA games, and I'm willing to pay for the DLCs to expand on the game.

The difference is that I actually have fun playing Infinite and the campaign is great (and get this?) has great character writing, good enemy design, an enticing story, an actual feeling your character matters. all things Destiny and D2 doesn't have. of all the people I've seen play the game I haven't seen one truly smile ear to ear and say they enjoy the experience; not to mention it looks like the most disappointingly boring and dull game ever. Every expansion is the same (apart from witch queen) where the enemies don't compliment each other like the: Elites, Jackals, Grunts and Brutes from Halo, nor are they iconic like the mobs from Minecraft: they're just bullet sponges with basically 0 thought put into them. *And don't even get me started on the story and the travesty that is, even though it comes from the makers of: HALO CE, HALO 2 AND HALO 3...*

Shovel Knight did some cool stuff too by just having free DLC and creating brand new games like with Plague and Spector Knight. I'm totally fine with paying for DLC when it's worth it, like say the Master Trials for Breath of the Wild. Seems like a brand new story and extended fun. When DLC doesn't really extend my playtime for a game but just cripples me in a certain part of the game for not buying all of it, then it's just a cash grab. It gets annoying because I thought I already payed the initial price, which is already high enough on it's own.

This is definitely not something Nintendo are exempt from to be honest. Amiibos. And I say that as somebody who collects Amiibos and has like 50 of the damn things. Too many games lock content behind Amiibo which is the same exact thing as DLC except now you have to worry about scalpers because Nintendo are too stupid to ever stock enough of ANY PRODUCT THEY EVER MAKE. Good luck getting one of those squishy Metroid amiibos that Fusion Mode is locked behind. They also make actual DLC and season passes, Hyrule Warriors for instance has an insane amount of DLC. As do many 3DS games.

I know this was made during Curse of Osiris which is objectively one of the worst times in the history of the Franchise, almost worse than Dark Below, but damn has the game gotten a lot better. -Activision Gone -Plenty of good new stories -all the microtransactions are hella optional now, they even moved the Eververse armor set from this season into regular content and just re-sold an older armor set instead - Game is legit free - On Gamepass EVERYTHING but seasonal content will be free - I paid 60 dollars and got like 120+ hours of content so hell yea

D2 was the biggest waste of money I spent on a game. I was hoping they changed alot of stuff... but nope, just the same game with less grind in it. The raid was boring as shit. When I think cabal, I think all out war, with big strong enemy's and bosses, and a badass boss cabal warrior all decked out with all sorts of guns... we got a fat ass turtle who lives in a ghetto ass place with nothing but puzzle solving, and no bosses but the raid boss. And finally once again it's just do the same shit, strikes, crucible- sucks ass, boring quest, and a raid that ain't that great. Very disappointed... and fuck trials!

At least try. But don't go so hyped for mini open world Plains Of Eidolon it's not like the rest of the game. As a Veteran player I don't like that grind in Plains but I like the stuff you can get from plains. So keep in mind that this is an optional grind or as a last grind you can do, if you think you got everything you need from normal missions. SO many people rush for Plains and get dissapointed that this is how the whole game is, but it's not. The game at beginning may look like a pay2win, but you can get everything for free if you play enough and trade some duplicated items for platinum. Except Prime armors from prime access and tennogen skins made by fan, and they are just cosmetic stuff.

Tbh, Halo 2 was one of my first games I’ve ever played and I’ve just gotten into D2 during the “new light” update and it’s an amazing game. It’s not to hard also, (I’m a 970) and most “hard” activities are always rewarding and the story it amazing which is the main reason I got forsaken and shadowkeep. Maybe it’s just the old destiny but at its current state it’s a good game.

I like Destiny, for the lore aspect, and the weapons....also Cayde....and Drifter...and Gambit....I like the game, but I absolutely can't stand playing it. It becomes a chore and not a game when everything you do takes weeks of grinding and researching and doing things you don't want to do. As a PvE/Gambit specific player, I hate when a weapon I like D2's Jade Rabbit, requires that I spend hours in the Crucible trying to get kills when all I get are slide shotguns, Arbalests, Jotunns, supression grenades, one hit grenade launchers, and heaven forbid a fricking shoulder charging titan. Not to mention the meta weapons that make it easier for players to win Gnawing Hunger for example, someone could say it suits people's play styles, but there is no way that the fifty separate crucible matches I did against different guardians held only people that Gnawing Hunger worked for. It's an easy gun. I went under leveled into Iron Banner with it and was in second place 1028 against 1060s. I'm sorry dude, I just ranted on your comments section. But that is my stand point on Destiny as of the last time I played it.

Destiny 2 launch was not made for the fanbase, it was made with a gun to vungies head to be the next CoD with yearly releases and to rope in as many new people as possible for money. We've been through alot since then and yeah we got shit like the Undeserved sunsetting of Seasonal Content/ Forsaken and Sunsetting but it after some thinking its for the better (exept vaulting forsakens story that was a mistake ngl)
