Everyone commenting that this channel is “So disappointing letting Destiny be platformed” have no actual criticism or argument to why hes so “unintelligent”. Even when they cope that he only uses wiki for research when their level of research starts and ends at click bait headlines. Idk why hes expected to be running into libraries, checking out 100s of books and tracking down historians for quotes for eveything thats said lmao whats even wrong with Wiki when it has a strong collection of heavily CITED information. Seems weird

Agree with everything but Wiki defense. ShortFatOtaku and other people showed how wiki is terrible for political topics because it's super biased towards SocDem/Prog views. E.x ShortFatOtaku video about cultural m-ism word. You know the one. Wikipedia used to HONESTLY explain what it means, but now it pretends it's "jUsT a ConSpiRaCy DuDe!1!1!". The video is called Antonio Gramsci and Socialist intellectual sphere. He shows how wiki censors facts for it's biased narrative. There are other videos critiquing wiki because it provides biased sources when it's politics Also I don't think it's fair to imply Destiny just uses Wikipedia, he does do research, even if it's "not deep" it's still a research.

Interesting seeing Destiny featured by iai. Even though I disagree on a lot he believes, anyone as prominent to the left or right of him would miss too many points and nuance in describing online politics. Anybody in the debate-community (like Ask Yourself, or Jack Angstreich) would be too niche, and so would anybody that's post-modern for that matter. He’s unironically most capable of explaining the state of online politics. And he’s definitely more intellectual than some of the “intellectuals” he has debated.

I would actually argue that abortion isn't just limited to being a social issue, because there is a real, tangible, financial cost to giving birth to, and raising a child. Most of us don't want to raise a child unless we feel like we're financially stable enough to do so, because we understand that our fiscal ability to take care of a child is probably going to impact that child in one way or another.

I find his message around 23:30 really sad. 'You "can" be a left leaning person, and be aware of all these social issues that affect us without being f****ing miserable all the time and feeling like you're you know an evil person.' This implies to me that misery and a type of self loathing is a default feeling people who go left feel. That temporarily breaking free of the misery and feeling like you're the good guy is uncommon. For anyone reading this who feels like this is true and are left leaning what are your thoughts? Are you miserable or see yourself as evil because of your political stance, and why do you think that is? If you are right leaning or otherwise unaffiliated I won't mind hearing your opinion either.

Hence we use models to attach to reality which are then communicated by words, so in reference to women... we probably share 80-90% of the model of a woman but there is no 100% and these models do change.

He didn't dodge it at all. He explained fairly perfectly the complication of language and labels used for anything. Sorry you're too butt-hurt about life and communication being complicated and not something exact. You don't have to breathe through your mouth forever. It was the first time since war time powers when we all was a captive audience was able to build an actual consensus. 1900s structuralism destroyed the triality of self epistemology it removed the politeness of politicking. We liberated the world everyone is on their feet ,its no longer cause for granting simplicity and unification to congress ,parliament, or higher education while we the people live in Complexity and division. Renisance of the private scientist are correcting the terminology and devides, all the cults within cults that 1900s structuralism was creating and caused division in is now working itself out as we the people restore context ,and common word, the most precise scientific tool when strengthened by measurements that we prescribe value upon.

😂 it’s a violation of international law to imagine that any of those people you named won those debates. Honestly, since those days I’d say Destiny has found himself in hot water a few times optically because he started debating more serious people and getting into more complicated issues, but those were the clowning days that built his career. The alt right being relatively popular at that time made the easiest and most entertaining takedowns also seem like he was knocking down gladiators to casual viewers. Truly those were bountiful days to be a gnome.

I’m not saying this as a hater, but I’ve honestly never found Destiny to be that intelligent. He just talks fast. His assessment of the Biden administration was surface level at best. I don’t have an issue with him being a leftist, but I’ve just never found him to have strong arguments for his worldview. I think his appeal is he emerged out of the gaming community, and he comes across as the living embodiment of the progressive cultural ideas society has pushed over the last few decades.

Tbh I keep seeing people like you say the same thing over and over about leftist but you kind of sound like people that are mad about the left having more facts on their side. The best countries in the world have the most socialism and the worst states in my own country belong to the right. Because of this I see more and more republicans talking about things that don’t matter such as woke and stuff. So they can stay away from how bad their policies have effected their own voters. And the entire world now with their blocking of Ukraine aid they sort of just stick up for bad stuff and don’t accomplish anything

It appears that the main benchmark which qualified this individual on this particular channel was his opposition to Trumpian politics?! If that was the case, that is a very low bar indeed. Moreover, the irony here is that this particular KZbinr himself, evidenced by his own poor moral and personal stances, is an extremist nihilist. Looking through his channel, he criticizes the Left just as much as the Right--given good reason to do so. That said, he is not a nihilist either, given his efforts to canvas and encourage people to vote on a local level to help create the change they want to see; someone who does not believe people are worth investing in would not waste their time expressing their proposed solutions or go out door-to-door canvassing.
