not imposing morality on others is as immoral as doing the immoral action yourself. It doesn’t seem to me that the real problem with NotSoErudite’s position is being addressed. She is assuming that Christian ethics are subjective. If they were, then one could in fact hold to that system and another contradictory, subject ethical system at the same time. But they are not. Just like mathematics, the Christian God and His law are objective, universal, and exist whether one believes in Him or not. Therefore, believing in Him and a contradictory set of ethics is illogical and incoherent. NotSoErudite’s God is not transcendent and universal. This is not the Christian God, she is not a Christian.

It was impressive hpw wrong Destiny was able to be in such a short streach of time. 1) Andrew doesn't mention the law; 2) Social ethics are not simply the law, it is not illigal or unlawful to mock disabled people in a cruel way but it is considered immoral; 3) if you are judging based upon the law it does condem adultery - it is n9t criminal but it is a civil wrong. In countries where there is no fault divorce there is normally both a civil basis for divorce on the basis of adultery and often at least one tort that can relate to adultery. 18:49
@aaronvoss3811 ай бұрын
Adultery can only be a civil wrong because you are entered into a legal contract, marriage. A better example would be cheating on your girlfriend. While it isn't illegal, I don't think anyone could argue that it is moral simply because you won't be ticketed or jailed for doing so. There are plenty of things that are immoral and not illegal. This is one of the problem with moral relativism in our society. Shame is a good thing, and keeps most people on the straight and narrow without the need for police. But our society now believes that you can do anything without any repercussion and shouldn't even be told what you are doing is wrong. More-so, our society now labels people with morals as bigots for not whole-heartedly applauding those who are immoral.

Do you believe people thought murder was wrong before Christianity existed?

Marital infidelity is grounds for divorce in at fault states. Which is lifted directly from Christianity.

The law is not based on religion, if it was slavery would be legal rn
@shanenolan56258 ай бұрын
@pullupenthusiast3800 it is based on religion and slavery was abolished on religious arguments, abolitionists, civil rights was based on religious. Mlk was a reverend and a doctor of theology. People don't know history, don't know what law is based on and dint know or understand the bible and think like you, as a result. Perjury ( religious) thousand not murder) steal ect ( 10 commandments ) ( lying under oath to god, God's) inalienable rights ( God given)

This was the first ever video I saw of Andrew. I originally clicked the video because I was watching Destiny videos and Andrew absolutely blew me away. I've been an obsessed fan ever since! His blood sport style of debate is something I had never seen before and I thought Destiny was a great debater until I saw this guy in action. THANK YOU ANDREW WILSON :D

She's very confused. Believing that porn is wrong in Christianity, doesn't mean you expect or want to force non Christians to not view it. But it's still morally wrong for both people, Christian or not.
@stevendouglas3781 Жыл бұрын
No it absolutely means you should force non Christians to not view it. Why would a Christian allow something like that to spread throughout their culture? They just like being unnecessarily tempted?
@scottwall841911 ай бұрын
@@stevendouglas3781you don't force them because force isn't voluntary, it isn't genuine then, it doesn't lead to a relationship with God. What she fails to understand about not judging those outside rhe church is that we should be careful not to judge people to the point where we think they are irredeemable and then stop trying to show them God's grace. We also don't force them becuase we can't we live in America but we do tell them the truth about what they are doing. God doesn't force us so we don't force others. The judgement Christians do intentionally and at times forcefully is for other Christians who profess to live a life surrendered to purity and sacrifice of our own worldy and Fallen nature. That's why we don't follow our flesh, or identify with our feelings of who or what we are because that's all fallen and corrupt nature.

@@grandtheftbitcoin the dictonary is just a compendium of meanings as observed and documented in the common language. If you want to get into a deep, rigorous debate about any term or concept, you should refer to specialized sources. For example, the definition that applies to a given legal transgression doesn't come from the dictionary, it comes from the applicable legal code

Andrew's basic point across every single debate regardless of topic is that...Christianity is the divine correct framework so "I don't have to explain but I drill everyone for them to explain why something is moral" it's the lazy aggro way to live apparent from his chain smoking and hypocritical hysterical manner he goes on about with anyone.

Andrew absolutely dominated both of them. Destiny was being disingenuous to protect the honour of his concubine and try to tidy up the mess she made. As for Grace, the poor girl wasn't even allowed to talk LoL. Even Andrew told her to shut up twice.

Destiny going insane while telling Andrew to go get some anti psychotics. Oh that is hilarious. Projecting much Destiny? Not used to talking to someone who isnt afraid and has a proper back bone? This isnt Fresh and fit or whatever podcast or Pearlythings. Andrew is not a man who takes the kind of liberal shit. Allowing you to carry on for the sake of niceness or politeness. They refuse to treat andrew with respect so he returns the favor in kind and the difference between them is astounding. Andrew smiling and remaining calm while destiny and the harpy rail and constantly try to condescend him. Your true colors are shown im defeat.

Last i checked, adultery IS illegal: It is a felony for women, and a misdemeanor for men. It is rarely punished by civil law, however. It is, tho, punished in the military, in peacetime. A female, military officer (in my home state of MN) who was caught committing adultery, was dishonorably discharged for it, and she self-deleted. It was in the local news. Although, this was about 20, maybe, 30 years ago.
