The Rittenhouse case was one where I thought 99.9% of Americans could agree on the outcome, based on what we knew. Oh, how naive I was. What this case taught me was how deeply divided we are on right vs left idealistic cults. No one takes the time to investigate the facts and make an informed opinion. No one strives for impartial or objective truths, and it's really freaking sad.

It’s not Kyle that everyone likes. The reason everyone loves Kyle Rittenhouse content is because the case is so insanely clear cut, yet there are still people that are against Kyle despite not knowing the facts of the case for purely ideological reasons. It’s hilarious to watch the reactions of people once they actually learn the facts of the case. One thing that surprises me is the fact that no one mentions that Kyle likely saved dozens of people that night and the BLM protest movement as a whole. No one mentioned that Kyle put out a flaming dumpster that Rosenbaum was pushing towards a gas station surrounded by dozens of innocent protesters after Rosenbaum said he wanted to kill people and that he wanted to die himself, his intentions were obvious. If that gas station had gone up the BLM protest movement likely would’ve died that night, it would’ve been one of the worst mass killings in recent history. Kyle does this yet a bunch of crazy lefty’s just ignore that and condemn Kyle as a murderer. It’s not surprising that Kyle went to the right wing for shelter from half the country condemning him as a right wing murderer. I always find this women’s comment of “Do you want first aid from someone with an AR15?” yes, I do… If they are armed with an AR-15 then there is a much greater chance that this person knows first aid better then the average Joe in the street. If you go the range a lot or do firearm training course you are bound to pick up good first aid practices like putting on a tourniquet.

But tbh I think it’s pretty unlikely that rolling a flaming dumpster towards a gas station would automatically make the whole gas station explode and kill everyone. Gas doesn’t really “explode” in most situations it’s just highly flammable. Even still I’ve seen clips of people who accidentally cause fires at pumps and the hoses have safety releases where the whole pump doesn’t catch fire. Most of the gas at the pumps (even while pumping) is stored underground so even while pumping there’s probably only like 1 gallon above ground at any given time. It’s not like in GTA where you crash into a gas station and the whole thing blows up

I feel like the Rittenhouse case is a perfect litmus test to see if a person is ideologically captured and/or arguing in good faith. How someone can deny it was clear self-defense is so outside of logic that I cannot wrap my head around it. What's truly instructive about this case is how it perfectly demonstrates that the left is an almost hermetically sealed echo chamber that is immune to facts that don't conform to it's narratives, and Destiny is stuck in the airlock breathing the air of both worlds, but still inside the fetid structure. Rittenhouse's actions that night are possibly THE most well documented case of self-defense in history; to the point that you almost have a moment-for-moment timeline of events if you piece all the footage together. Honestly, I can say with no hyperbole or bias whatsoever that not only did Rittenhouse do nothing wrong, it wouldn't have been humanly possible to do things better than he did. He literally shot only the people who were in the process of trying to murder him, and all of those would-be murderers have records that demonstrate that none of them were there for good reasons: pedos, wife beaters, insane asylum inhabitants, so frankly Rittenhouse did all of society a favor by ending them. The reason the left hates Rittenhouse isn't because they're against murder, they love when the victim is on the right; no, they hate that for once, the good guy WON, not only won but demonstrated the bloated and diseased underbelly of the left, so it EMBARRASSED them.

And undeniably across the U.S. more black people died in the riots of 2020 than were shot unarmed by police officers. The response to George Floyd's tragic fate led to MORE black men being killed. That's not necessarily the easiest information to find because you have to comb through stories of people who died in the riots for any random number of reasons, but it makes intuitive sense if you have mass rioting that innocents will be caught in the crossfire. There were more than 12,000 incidents of rioting reported in 2020. These people are so ignorant and delusional they think violence on that scale could result in unintended casualties. I would have loved to know what her threshold for self-defense in that instance was. Rosenbaum managed to get a hand to the rifle, so the next step after that is wrestling for control of it, at which point Kyle's level of personal danger goes through the roof. I'm still to this day supremely impressed by Rittenhouse's self-control. With Rosenbaum he left it till the very last second before opening fire. With Huber, again he opened fire only after being assaulted, and once Huber had a hand on the rifle. With Grosskreutz, it was only after Grosskreutz produced an illegally carried pistol, and pointed it at Rittenhouse, that Rittenhouse opened fire and disarmed him. What more could have been asked of him in that situation? In every instance, he waited till his safety was in question before opening fire, and in each instance, they approached him, not the other way round.

I find the discussion about this with people infuriating sometimes. I’m coming from the stand point of a person who initially believed all of the misrepresentation a long with family members I have. Once all the facts were shown to me and I actually went through everything I was forced to change my mind like I thought any reasonable person would. I then spent months trying to lay everything out including the video evidence for my family members that still felt that way and it basically devolved into them continually repeating the things they’d been told even though I just showed them it was false. I was then called all kinds of things and basically told that it doesn’t matter because I’m some how morally in the wrong. I came away losing a lot of faith in humanity and rationality. It basically boils down to they feel morally superior for being on the “right side” of certain issues to the point that facts no longer matter. It sucks because in the end it actually does much more harm than good to the causes they are claiming to fight for and almost turns into if you feel like it’s true then it is as opposed to actual truth which is what I thought mattered.

Saying that the "okay" sign is essentially calling everyone that does scuba diving exploration Hitler's Fanatics because "thumbs up" go up and "thumbs down" means go down. There's a myriad of other hand signals that scuba divers use that I did back when I was doing it (it was.... SOOO long ago when I went scuba diving).

God I love DGG chat so much more than Kick chat. The speed it was going after "I'm not going to have you as a man question my intelligence" was something to behold.
