Destiny vs Warframe in a nutshell

Warframe and destiny are two different games, but I think one might be better than the other.
If you prefer destiny, go for it. I just find warframe a bit less obtuse for allowing me to use colours and aesthetic options more than once with a distinct lack of microtransaction lootboxes :3

this is just even funnier with how both game are nowadays, like destiny used to be my favorite game and to this day i still cherish the memories of playing D1 and earlier D2, in fact i only started playing warframe to fill that kinda gap in my game while waiting for D2 but honestly after D2 moved to f2p and made everything seasonal with battle passes, and its kinda crappy monetization as far as im concerned destiny's servers may as well have gone offline cause the game i loved is gone, the stories i played gone, and the chances of it returning are none. Meanwhile warframe has managed to get me to play over 4k hrs now and i still play almost every day for a hour at least, and i activly want to give DE money when they drop new content rather than being forced to pay for things just so i dont miss huge story events.

I think what makes Warframe so much better, is your gear doesn't lose value over time. It's as strong as you are willing to put work into making it so. Also, D2 deleted the vanilla campaign (which was pretty good), meanwhile Warframe hasn't deleted any of its story, some tweaks and improvements, but more or less still all there.

Not only is it free, Warframe never even tries to trick you into paying money. You know how most "F2P" games are also "Pay 2 Win"? Yeah, Warframe doesn't do that. Anything besides cosmetics can be found for free in the game, it's never a case of "Pay us to actually get somewhere", it's always "You can advance on your own, but if you pay us, we'll give you a small boost."

@Requiem Eye Destiny 2 needed to go free2play to remain alive after conception and to excuse the PAID FOR dlcs that were mediocre at best. Not to mention, its concept of endgame, although existing and actually not that bad, reuses the same bloody bosses/enemies you been facing this whole time. With said bosses being no more than a scaled up reskin with maybe a quirk that is somewhat interesting. With warframe you also get so much customization. You can design pretty much everything for your character, my only complaint is we don’t have the option (yet) to make our own unique warframe, one where we choose our four abilities and passives. There’s some characters design or esthetic I like, but not their abilities or passives.

I spent $260 (including Xbox live fees and first three DLC) to play destiny one for about a year and a half. I have played Warframe now for almost the entire five years it's existed off and on again, for a total of just over a thousand hours, without spending a frickin dime. Though I certainly plan to, that Blade of the Lotus Rhino skin looks awesome! I'd gladly pay 7 dollars to support DE and BeastBuster, once it's released. Anyway, destiny was often boring. There'd be times where I'd just go to Mars and ride my sparrow around in a circle for hours out of sheer boredom, or I'd spend a lot of time with my friends trying to glitch my way into cut content areas they would later release in dlc for $30. And me and my friend had so much fun with the no gun glitch, until they patched it out for literally no reason. It's not like it was an exploit or anything. Bungie must not like fun very much, I guess. It wasn't for a little while after I gave up on destiny that I realized I should have seen it coming. Halo was the only good game bungie ever made. And if you look closely, it was basically a fluke. They got lucky. Look at marathon, or any of their old games from before Halo, and you quickly realize just how bad a developer they always were. Or maybe not. I dunno. Maybe this is just a way for me to cope with my disappointment. Does it really make a difference in the end? No. And besides, I've got Warframe now.

DE have been extremly clever when making emotional stuff, as you can see, every warframe player has some kind of connection with the lotus, it's your space mom. Like when she's seriously worried about you because Vay Hek sent the Grustrag Three after you, lol I remember running straigt to extraction and avoiding confrontation following what the lotus was telling me to do xD And of course, CLEM! Seriously, the game is good. It has some weird bugs and umbalances but still good.
