wow, didn't expect a convo about the cosmological argument for god at the end! this argument while initially intuitively impressive has room for doubts: (1) a spaceless timeless mind is a big assumption (at the very least minds seem incoherent without spatial and temporal thoughts, i.e. time is a precondition of thinking) (2) if the big bang is the origin of time, then there is no ''before'' the big bang, as ''before'' assumes time (like asking what's north of the north pole) (3) why would a perfect being have a ''need'' to create an imperfect creation? wouldn't a perfect being have no needs?

haha exactly. it's just "I have a degree" and not this is why my degree has value. I work in tech, and a degree means practically nothing outside of you were able to do a level of commitment and discipline. it does not ultimately outline what you do or do not know at the end of the day. how Destiny explained the nuance of his college experience and the school's position was important. my college had an exceptional program for my field of study (as well as it's business program) but it's medical school track paled in comparison to another school in the area. the way he simplified the school did not demonstrate logic, just pretentiousness.

A good rule of thumb to follow for people like this that you actually have to interact with I find is to think, “if I don’t respect this guy’s intellect, personality, ability to interact fairly, etc (whatever matters to you), why do I care if he thinks well of me? That's what appeals to me about his channel. One thing that people fail to realize though is that logic does not always equate to a singular conclusion as an objective truth. It's perfectly ok acknowledge that someone makes a logical argument and see their viewpoint while coming to a different conclusion yourself.
