In the current state, the tech isn't perfect, sure. For me, the small footprint is something that I'd like to see in modern phones more, and I can't forsee that being done without foldable tech. In my opinion like 5 years from now, most of us will be using foldables, but we'll have to wait and see. It's very much possible that foldables will slowly disappear from the market if the costs don't get lowered quick enough.

Foldables, to me, are superior technology because of the protectiveness that a folded phone provides to the screen. With that said, this is relative to "old-school" phones from the 2000s. Those were pretty heavy duty and dropping them wouldn't do much if they were folded up. These phones were typically also made to be stronger. I suppose this is kinda like comparing a Gamecube to the Xbox360. The Gamecube was made to be incredibly sturdy to the point that dropping it on tile would break the tile rather than the console. So essentially, if they made foldable phones with brick-like sturdiness, then I'd buy one. They clook pretty fantastic, but they seem to be made delicately.
@Maavs1743 жыл бұрын
the foldable technology is so advanced compared to other non folding phones, I think Samsung should make tougher to break screens so they will not have to be repaired as often, also I think that Samsung should drop the price down a lot on the screens! great video I enjoyed it!

I think they're neat and the Z Flip is a gorgeous phone, but I can't justify spending that much money on a flagship if it's so fragile. I've had my Note9 for almost 3 years and it's been through hell and back, still looks almost brand new aside from a few scuffs on the aluminum trim.
