I'm pretty sure ImperialHal is R4ndom, I've seen the evidence. He likely conspired, and explains why he was also affected. If they just did the one player, it would be harder for D2009/R4ndom to get credit, so Hal would be the other one to get the cheats. His reaction did seem a bit off after all.

It would be better if he didn't confirm the patch was fixed so that Respawn would still be on edge and keep fixing things. Respawn would now probably downgrade their severity and their security team will be back as useless as ever.

Kinda disappointing to be honest. I get it that he is aware of possibility of getting persecuted by a large corporation if he continues, but IMO the message he sent wasn't quite enough to stir the uprising it could've did. Respawn is going to apply bandaids over problems instead of looking at the roots of them and players are just gonna cope, because of how gullible and tolerant Apex community is.
