We love testing knives to their limits. A good knife can survive all these test. Is the Chinese Cima ESEE clone better than EsEE? Watch to find out.

Not everyone can afford high end expensive knives,also I have to agree that Mora make some great knives at great prices,but for me the Cima 1 is a good all round camp knife that will do for you what a knife is supposed to do,irrespective of where it is made/ produced.

Gentlemen as a ex soldier it is clear to me that Mickey B is suffering from PTSD towards the Fallkniven that bit him. Martian you need to help your best friend through that painful process by making him buy the knife and taking him out in the bush to face his demons. It will be hard for him but with your support he can beat this; also, please film this for us ; ).

I bought this knife after watching the abuse you gave it. I love this knife it came razor sharp and even grind all around. hammered it into oak tree and it held my weight just fine, no bend at all. It will hold its own against any 100 dollar knife guaranteed. thank you guys for the review. no one will abuse a knife like that and it does great. razor sharp no nicks or rolls at all after hundreds of feather stick. everyone should watch Joe Robinets review of this Cima knife. thanks guys great little back up camp knife.

Position of your foot was different from where it was on the Mora. I don't doubt that this knife isn't up to ESEE standards, but I wonder if it would have broken as quickly if your foot had been closer to the log rather than way out at the end of the handle.

I highly recommend you guys getting one. I got to "play" with one for a couple of days. The handle is fantastic, and it feels like an extension of your hand! The only downside is that they have two steel options I think - 14c28n and K720. I I'm planning on getting the Sandvik version myself, but I will probably wait out for your review first. ;) I think you guys might like it more than the Enzo and for Mickeeey it would probably be the "ultimate" bushcraft knife (if it came with s30v). :) Hoping to see a lot more videos from you guys in the future! Keep up the excellent work guys! Cheerz!

I’m afraid we wouldn’t be doing our job well if we tried to make this knife last. We have to see how far it can go and if it fails at the same tests that the ESEE didn’t fail in, that speaks for itself. But I am curious what your suspicion is!! Maybe we are just ESEE fanboys!! I wish i’d know what knife we really like from them then.. haha cheers mate

@@DutchBushcraftKnives it is ok to be fan of some good brand but I thought you were fans of Falkniven. Well, I should prefer Esee for sure but the price are not the same level, at least for me in my country, and because of differences in blade material and prices I don't see rationality for comparision. What i see, don't get me wrong, is that you cherry-picked the test, you didn't test resistence of corrosion, as example, Cima has high chromium content, which also can cause the blade to brittle, so the test that Cima could outperform you choose not to do. And there is no way to get homogeneity of conditions with your test methods. It is just for fun that´s why i keep watching your videos.

double sided stones are often pretty soft. I would personally advice to spend a bit more for 2 separate quality stones. Otherwise you will end up buying these anyway (if you like sharpening).

Hey guys. i wanted to ask where do you buy your Bark River Knives? I saw that knivesshipfree.com have quite a large selection but the porto to europ is also quite expensive. Really love your videos! I would relly like to pick up Knife-sharpening but never done it before... any tips? and at last: what do you think about the Cold Steel SRK?

Hey mate, We bought some from DLTtrading.com when the exchange rate was a bit better than now. You can also check out Knivesandtools.com since a while they also sell Bark River. We don't have much affection towards cold steel. However, I think there SRK knives are the best and most useful of their collection!

Can you PLEASE review the esee 3 in s35vn. It’s an updated knife and I’ve seen no reviews by reviewers I really trust like you. You guys are the most trusted knife reviewers on KZbin. I know you haven’t liked a lot of esee knives in the past. But please the new esee 3 and maybe the jungalas 2 or laser strike.

Hey guys: What store-bought Scandivex knives have you bought as opposed to the Scandi blades you’ve reprofiled?
@DutchBushcraftKnives
@DutchBushcraftKnives 7 жыл бұрын
Hey! some of the bark river knives have scandivex bevels. The bushcrafter is even a bit too convex/scandivex from the factory (at least some years ago). I think bark river is pretty much the only one that has some scandi-vex models. The Gunny scandi was actually really lovely. Hope all is well! Happy winter days!
