Looks great! I have been rearranging some things in my craft room. I am a card maker and scrapbooker also and my stamps are stored separately. My big take away from your tour- the tabs on the side for your stamp dividers-simple and genius! It is possible to stack items neatly on lower shelves ( your island). Your room is a great example that storage and organization should work for how use the items. Thanks for sharing.

Yay for card makers and scrapbookers! I’m so glad that you found something to takeaway and try in your space! I’m thrilled with how the island turned out, seems like such a better use of that space now than how it was before. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!

What a beautifully organized room! You gave me lots of ideas; I love the tabbed dividers, those IKEA bamboo boxes, and the round lazy Susan organizer for tools. And your advice about knowing how you work is spot on - like you, I keep my favorite manufacturers together (Elle's, AE, Feed Your Craft, FJ and a few others) because I reach for them most often. The rest of my supplies tend to be organized by type in 4x6 or 5x7 Iris boxes. I recently opened and ruthlessly purged many packages of die-cuts, keeping only those I know I will use. Thanks again for your detailed tour and sharing your room!

Thank you so much Susan for checking it out! I am SO SO glad you found some useful ideas. Storing things so you can find them and use them can be so overwhelming, and it is so individual. I'm just happy to share what works for me and how I've tweaked what I've learned from others over the years. Thanks for taking the time to watch the walkthrough!

Your room came out so fab. More breathing space (same thing I’m trying to do with mine), and I’m getting some great ideas. FYI, the white plastic bin with the handles from IKEA that you said might not be made anymore, The Container Store has an almost identical one that I prefer because the bins (there are 3 sizes) weigh less than the IKEA ones. I use a bunch of those in the small and medium size to hold my Ali stuff instead of the Dragan boxes because they are lightweight and have handles.

whimsyfox thank you so much for checking it out! Yes, a little more open and space for actually doing work and making Things is exactly what I was going after. Great tip on the bins too, thank you!!

P.S. I've been on the fence about the Alex drawer unit on wheels. The drawers really look much deeper than I thought, since you have your label maker and reinkers in one of the drawers. I have three miss matched pieces that I would like to trade in for three Alex drawers so that my studio will look more cohesive.
@createdbysteph5 жыл бұрын
I love the Alex drawers! If I could have a studio of them, that would be amazing! They're a good depth, I think, for crafty items. They make another set of Alex drawers that's a bit more narrow - that has some deeper drawers in it I believe, but is the same height as the wide set. A mix of both could be really awesome!

Nice room and organization! Where is the big unit from that you showed in the beginning of the video? Also what are the plastic containers at around 10:40 that are sitting on top of the bright green bag in your closet? Thanks so much!
@createdbysteph4 жыл бұрын
Hi Julia, all of the furniture in my room is from IKEA. If you are referring to the bookcase, it is a BILLY bookshelf from IKEA. The plastic containers are ANTONIUS containers from IKEA, they are made to fit inside the RASKOG carts. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much Yolanda! Unfortunately I don't have links for any of those products I'm using in my photo setup. They are things I inherited from my husband's photography studio business from about a decade ago. I do know that the tripod is a Manfrotto and that's a pretty common brand. Sorry I don't have more information!

Steph Grimes thanks for your reply. The tripod name is extremely helpful. Again, your space is beautiful!

Your room looks amazing, super organized. I just need to figure out where to start, as my room is a hot mess right now. I keep buying storage things thinking it will help, but it just adds up. lol Tfs
@createdbysteph5 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! Yeah I've been there for sure! My suggestion for starting is to just pick one area or one type of supply and start with that. I tend to find this has a snowball effect and once I've done one area or organized one set of materials I want to do more, then I just use that momentum. If you'd like some help, you can message me on Instagram (@createdbysteph) and I'd be happy to see if I can help from a distance! Thanks for watching!
