It's funny how nature took the place back. Almost looks like a post-apocalyptic movie.

Some people see the value in Detroit i know it's very valuable I'm never leaving, we have big beautiful home spreaded throughout the city, we have a big beautiful island for festive activities and I'm starting to see a whole lot more diversity. If you live in Detroit i encourage you to start investing in your city because the city is rebuilding itself rightnow and attracting a lot of investor. Everything has been done everywhere else it's our time to flourish again.

Be careful when your looking at properties here, the deals maybe good, but the eye candy is cancerous. And heartbroken to those to go pass it. But if you love a challenge and have a group of people who love to work on complex projects, then you found the place.

Hopefully you are still planning on visiting Milwaukee some time soon. I know you commented on a previous video that you'd be up here some time this summer and I gave some recommendations where to go, but I'd like to see that happen sometime soon. Nevertheless, you really got some great footage in this video. I always enjoy seeing inside the gas stations and stores since there's always something interesting going on. Never a quite day in Detroit.
@bobrakow30677 жыл бұрын
SongsOfThisVEVO what parts of milwaukee would you recommend?
@SongsOfThisVEVO7 жыл бұрын
Bob Rakow This was mentioned in a previous video by someone else: King Park - abandoned/decayed blocks North Division - violent hood Park West - violent hood with decay Sherman Park - visually not bad, but riots broke out there last year Avenues west (specifically near 28th and Michigan) - decay Metcalfe Park - extreme violence, some decay 35th and Center Also, start off on 40th, and go til 8th. But definitely 40th and Burleigh. Burleigh is a notorious street. Nicknamed "the Zoo" 29th and Locust (all of locust is bad) 25th and Auer Harambee neighborhood BONUS. Theres the Milwaukee Mall on Fond Du Lac and North Ave. its a pretty fuckin ghetto mall that might be interesting to some people. i also mentioned to stay around 30th-35th street since thats were the railroad runs (a lot of abandoned buildings). and i also exploring some of the stores around fond du lac ave and burleigh since thats were the riots were so you may still see the remnants of the burnt down jet beauty and oreilleys stores.

how do you film inside the gas stations without them knowing?
@tymesho7 жыл бұрын
a lot of them "kit houses". mail order bungalow's from a Sears Roebuck catalog wildly popular after the war for their price/ease of build/quality bang for your buck. most with the same floor plans. you just flipped this over, inverted that above, and added/subtracted a window here or there to make it your own. upgrades were the interior doors/staircase's/porches. gave the "average family" a healthy head start on to "the American dream", and made Sears BILLIONS.

For all of you who live in Detroit, you can get a list of homes or properties for sale that are simply behind in their taxes. So for example, these properties where the trees are grown up around the homes. You can actually go to either the county clerk or District Clerk's office and get that list. And find out when they're having the next auction. From the looks of it, you can probably get three of those lots for a couple hundred bucks. You can clean up the lot knock down the house but keep the foundation. You've already got water hooked up and electricity access. All you got to do is just pay a little bit at a time to build the house. Just make sure when you buy materials that they complete the job before they leave so no one is stealing your materials. If I wasn't in Texas I would go and buy a whole bunch of them and clean them up and rent them out and make all kinds of money. If you charge people just for $500 a month and made them sign a contract that you could come to the house once a month to look at the house to make sure there's no damages you could make a lot of money. But you got to make sure that contract is Right. Hire an attorney to draw up a contract for you to cover everything you can think of.

It's sad how fucked up these neighborhoods are, but people gotta realize it's not easy at all to get out of a hood. These neighborhoods date back to segregation times, leaving all the newer generations to have to deal with this shit, I don't think anything will ever change.
