Mr. and Mrs. Martini Fabulous walking tour. When I visit my in-laws in Michigan, definitely this is one of the stops. We have Biltmore Estate in NC, but this has totally different characters. Ford....history, car business, Art, architecture, and many more charm in the house. I would love to enjoy a tour they offer...Hmm what kind of dish will be served? full course? Thank YOU so much for bringing it to the world. Well done.

Well Edsel’s home certainly seems adequate. Seriously the mansions and grounds of the Ford family look lovey. I love touring mansions and learning about the people who lived there. Thanks for the tour!

Meadow Brook Hall was built by John Dodge's widow and her second husband. It is not in Grosse Pointe (about 33 miles away in Rochester, MI). Horace Dodge's widow Anna built her mansion, Rose Terrace, in G.P.; but it was demolished in 1976. I remember the docent stating that the Van Gogh was donated to the Detroit Art Institute more because of its probable value than from generosity (better security in the museum). Overall, an excellent video.

That is a really beautiful mansion. Henry Ford did so much for the car industry. But they don't make em like they used to.

Nice tour and thanks for coming to Michigan however a correction; you show the exterior of the Dodge Mansion in Rochester and have it listed as the John F. Dodge home. That's incorrect.....his Widow Matilda built it after his death with her new Husband, lumber baron Alfred Wilson. John Dodge had started, before his death in 1920, a HUGE, similar English Tudor castle on Lake Shore Drive in the GP Farms. Matilda removed all that she wanted from that house and installed it into Meadowbrook Hall. The house was torn down in the early 1940's. I grew up and still live less than 5 minutes from the E&E Ford Estate and know it like the back of my hand and I'm also a lifelong Grosse Pointer and am on the Board of the Grosse Pointe Historical Society.

Man, I wonder how long they can keep these places open. My guess is they have a trust account that will keep the operations on for hundreds of years. LIKE 13. 👍👍👍
