@@anupamraj3922 one quick google search proves you wrong. just google "is Hanuman a monkey" and the vast, vast majority of the internet would disagree with you. Hanuman is a MONKEY god. also you've commented multiple times under other posts criticizing literally everybody in the movie. how about you watch the AMAZING movie Dev Patel has created before crying about it in the comments. and if you're that offended by the mere concept of this film and calling it "anti-Indian" and whatnot, remember that this is a MOVIE. and even the film is satire, criticizing and making fun of a nationalistic government. the whole plot is of a man's redemption arc and taking revenge on the corrupt government, tearing it down in the process. the religion and symbols are used to connect the main character to his deeply religious and innocent childhood, which was violently and horribly burned down in front of him along with his mother by the government. religion in this film is used to remind him of his past and to connect him to what his childhood could have been before his family and community were massacred, giving him a strong desire for revenge. while the film is extremely violent (and funny) I see it in no way anti-Indian or anti-Hindu.

@@anupamraj3922 Then what is hanuman? He is a monkey god just like Sun Wukong who is a monkey god. This man put all this effort into this movie, creating such a masterpiece as a indie one. How is it an insult? Indian mythology is something almost no one knows, he increased the people of the world in Hindu mythology. Also it doesn’t cover anything against religion, the problem is that the villain politicians were using orange 🍊cloths and if it was a insult then pk, animal, chaduram, and even kgf is insult as the guy went in and killed the Hindu minister in the parliament building, reflect on yourself you monkey 🐵

I think its actually so much more interesting than john wick. Dont get me wrong John Wick is a good series and has fantastic action but it doesn’t have much of a philosophy and the story just acts as a vehicle for the action more than anything. Monkey Man’s action is centered around the storytelling, around the culture. It has something to say about the cycle and monopoly of violence, the oppression of minorities, and the dangers of systemic religion and religious power. The action directly ties into its message and vice versa. It’s like Dev Patel said, its an action flick with a soul put into it.

Loved it It think it's a good social critique of Indian political and religious culture. Visually stunning ❤ Well-executed action sequences.

It is such an excellent Movie! It is a true action movie, violent but just right and with a purpose. It is dark and beautifully shot also. The fighting is so real and does not feel choreographed. I love it

@@ashaypallav4158 but the author said that it is based on Son wukong...(maybe they are the same in reality, but Baudh Human fake Superiority said that Wukong was a corrupt soul and a servant of human Buddha) but again sun wukong is a fictional character introduction in the 16th century in the Chinese novel 'the journey to the west (India)' and that novel is inspired by Lord Almighty Hanuman and Hindu scriptures like buadh sutras

@@anupamraj3922 yeah they are all kind of the same depictions, the Bajrang Gun was the punch that ended kaido at Wano which definitely was named after Hanumana

Hey, Hollywood! You don't want to offer a Brown Asian guy the lead in an action film? Dev Patel: Fine. I'll do it myself.

@@rskolkatathat’s not the point being able to beat out a system that’s already rooting against you and make something the world will watch is crazy
@rskolkata9 ай бұрын
@@voken1380 Indians are 'beating out the system' everyday. Hindus brought up in small town India are being CEOs of big companies. Hindus taken as indentured labour to Africa are all successful today. Indian parents force their kids to either be doctor engineer and lawyer or join their hotel/shop business. That is the real system that Indians are stuck in.

Why is it that indians will always make something so positive into something so toxic? You think Americans know who hanuman is? He made a great analogy to make them aware of the mythology of hanuman. Stop being toxic

When I was 10yrs old , I used to go to a roadside small Hanuman temple, the size of temple was 1 feet. I used to clean it all saturday and pray for hours on saturday ( The whole Hanuman Chalisa). Now I am 30 , last years I rebuild the whole temple for my village as now I have enough money. He gave me so courage and strength that sometime i think i am unbreakable like him.
